FIRST CONCERT OF THE JEWISH FORUM
To be held at the Witwatersrand University
The newly-formed Jewb.h Fomm in Johannesburg is arranging to hold its fir ·t function. This will be a cone rt in the Great Hall of the Witwatersrand l'niversity, on Saturday, April 25th, at 8.15 p.m.
A
N exclusively Jewish programme has been arranged and will com- prise the following: A one-act play by Ossip Runitch. This will be en- acted by members of the dramatic section of the Jewish Forum. The play will be produced by l\lr. Runitch.The mixed choir of the Jewish Forum·
will render items of Yiddish folk, Chassidic and modern songs, and these will be conducted by Mr. Jerry Idelson.
A symphony orche:;tra of well- known musicians will render selec- tions of Jewish music. Mr. Eugen 1\lagid, the well-known violin-soloist, will play compositions by Bloch and chron, and .Mr. Bruno Tiaiki.n will render some piano solos by Rosofsky.
Mr. F. Szigelbaum, who will recite a number of Jewish war monologues, will also act as com1Jere.

visited Theunissen on March 10th, and the same evening addressed a meeting under the auspices of the Theunissen Zionist Society. In the unavoidable absence of the Chairman of the Society, Mr. Jess Levy, t~e chair was taken by Mr. A. Epst~m, Vice-Chairman of the Congregation and of the Zionist Society.
