“transaksie” is egter nie bekend nie.
I
n all terms of “wealth” the former President of the Zuid- Afrikaansche Republiek (ZAR) Paul Kruger was a wealthy man. In the height of his reign as president of the country, Kruger owned no less than four farms in the Rustenburg Region. These farms were known as perhaps the foremost importantly, Boekenhoutfontein in Boshoek and also the well-known “Waterval” just off the R24 where the Kruger Guest House is today owned by the similarly well-known Jordaan family.
Kruger also owned two of the most beautiful farms anyone can imagine – the farms Baviaankrans and Rietvallei (not Rietvlei) – the land known today as the Kgaswane Nature Reserve to the south of Rustenburg. These two farms were later on – early in the 1900s - amalgamated and donated to the state to be preserved in future as a scenic tourism destinations in the beautiful Magalies Mountains.
It is estimated today that the Magalies Mountain range is the second oldest existing mountain range on planet earth.
