The Cape Town Jewish Youth Club held a }'ilm Evening at its premises on Sunday evening, the 14th inst.

A most attractive programme has been arranged called ''Yesterday, To- day and Tc-morrow of the Art of DanC'e,'' with particular reference to the relation of colour and music and movements will be demonst;ated.

Tickets, which are obtainable from the Union of Jewish Women Offices, 14 , St. George's Street, are priced at 5s. each and the funds are in aid of Magen David Adom.

'Ihe marriage of Dr. Emmanuel Sacks, younger son of Mrs. a11d the late Mr. B. Sacks, of Bellville, to Fern, only daughter of Mr. and Mrs.

S. Watkin, of Sea Point, was solem- nised at the Sea Point Synagogue on Wednesday evening, 8th October.

Dr. Dave Norton acte<l as bestman and the poleholders were Dr. A. Gould, Messrs. I. Cohen, E. Michalowsky and S. Watkin. The matron of honour was Mrs. Anita Sacks, the bridesmaids Miss Lorna Kaplan and Miss Pauline Swiel, and the flowergirl Miss Beulah Sacks.

Mr. C. K. Friedlander presided at the rec<'ption held sub equently at the Zionist Hall. Rabbi Dr A. T. Shrock proposed the toast of the bride and bridegroom and also that of the unter- fuhrers (l\Ir. and Mrs. Watkin and Dr. and Mrs. J. Karpas). The bride- groom suitably responded.

The names of the yoLuJg couple have been inscribed by their f1J.rem:-i in the Golden Book of the Keren Kayemeth.

Freedman-Chadwick-Atlas

The marriage of Leah, daugh~er of the late Mr. and Mrs. E. L. Atlas, of Wynberg, and David, son of the late Mr. and 1Mrs. Freedman-Chadwick, of Manchester, England, took place in the Wynberg ynngogue on Sunday, 12th October.

The receptio1J. was held in the Wyn- berg Communal Hall and was presided over by .Ir. J. L. Feinberg. The toast of the bride and bridegroom was proposed by Re''. Ch. Gordon, to which the bridegroom suitably re- sponded.

Mr. Marcus Posniak proposed the toast of the unterfuhrers. Mr. and Mrs. Jome and Mr. and ~!rs. Archie Smith. Mr. Maurice Atlas, on behalf of th 'Gnterfuhrers, re ponded.
