"LOVE LAUGHS AT ANDY HARDY"
Mickey Rooney
"Love Laughs at Andy Hardy," next attraction at the Metro Theatre, is M.G.M's answer to the most loyal of all motion picture fans-the followers of the Hardy's. Even since the last picture of the popular series, they've been writing letters demanding a re- sumption of the films at the earliest opportunity.
With Mickey Rooney's discharge from the service, that opportunity came. Written and planned while Mickey was overseas, "Love Laughs At Andy Hardy" awaited only the young star's return.
Reunited with him now are the perennial favourites of the family- Lewis Stone as Judge Hardy, Fay Holden as Mrs. Hardy and Sara Haden as Aunt Milly.
Adding to the fun and loves of Andy are not one but three girls. There's his "true love," Bonita Granville, now definitely a screen celebrity. There's six-foot four-inch Dorothy Ford, the answer to the height of beauty.
Russian Concert
Miss Sheila Inspektor, coloratura soprano, will appear as soloist at the Russian concert, to be held at the City Hall, on February 22.
