SUBMISSION GUIDELINES
The Pretoria Student Law Review accepts the submission of original articles, book reviews, case notes, and essays.
Length Requirements
Articles should be a minimum of 3500 words and must not exceed 9000 words, including footnotes. The author is responsible for ensuring that the manuscript remains within the word limit.
All submissions should include abstracts that are no longer than 400 words. The abstract will not be included in the overall word limit that is to not exceed 9000 words.
Submissions
Authors are encouraged to submit their articles on the website’s submission page but can alternatively email their submissions to [email protected].
All submissions must be in Microsoft Word form.
Referencing Guide
Articles must be submitted in accordance with the PSLR Style Guidelines. Submissions that fail to comply with the guidelines will be reverted for correction prior to the commencement of the review process.
Font style and size should be at Arial 12pt,1.5 spacing, with indented text at 11pt (relevant to quotes), and footnote text at 10pt.
Blind Review
All articles will undergo a double-blind review process therefore the Editorial Board will ensure that the author’s name and institutional address is removed and absent from any submission (i.e., in the document itself, as well as within the hidden document information) prior to the commencement of the review process.
