Today, it can be said that change is the only constant. Change is also something CILSA is embracing and navigating our way through. Change is extant and it is something that the year 2020, in particular, has demanded of all of us.

With the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic, we have all had to change our way of thinking, our behaviour, our social interactions, and even our work life. Some change was good, some not so good, and some outright bad. In the field of research, it is impossible to gauge the full impact of the Covid-19 pandemic now, only afterwards would a full assessment be possible. However, early signs point to the fact that it is a mixed bag.

While some authors have been able to capitalise on working remotely to further their research; others have had to deal with the issues and pressures brought on by the pandemic. Overall, we soldier on.

With this volume of CILSA, we are once again embracing change, as we move into the online publishing space. This is a very exciting time for us. We invite you to join us as we seek to ensure that we provide you with high quality scholarly legal research in the fields of international law and comparative law in Africa, with the added benefit of enhanced online visibility and accessibility.
