BAB VI
KESIMPULAN DAN SARAN
A. Kesimpulan
Berdasarkan rumusan pertanyaan penelitian, hasil penelitian dan diskusi
hasil penelitian maka dapat disimpulkan hal-hal berikut.
1. Strategi scaffolding IMWR pada pendekatan saintifik dan perangkat
pembelajaran yang dikembangkan dalam penelitian sangat valid.
2. Strategi scaffolding IMWR pada pendekatan saintifik bersifat praktis,
semua langkah strategi dapat dilaksanakan dalam pembelajaran, meskipun
langkah-langkahnya dapat dikurangi atau dihilangkan sesuai dengan
tingkat kemandirian mahasiswa.
3. Strategi scaffolding IMWR pada pendekatan saintifik efektif untuk
meningkatkan keterampilan proses sains dan penguasaan konsep.
B. Saran
Berdasarkan simpulan yang dihasilkan dari penelitian maka disarankan
hal-hal sebagai berikut.
1. Perlu memberikan pengetahuan awal tentang langkah-langkah strategi scaffolding
IMWR sebelum penggunaannya dalam pembelajaran sehingga mahasiswa

2. Keterampilan proses sains perlu dikenalkan dan dilatihkan kepada mahasiswa
sebelum menggunakan strategi scaffolding IMWR dalam pembelajaran sehingga
mahasiswa tidak asing dengan keterampilan tersebut.
3. Sebelum proses pembelajaran dengan strategi scaffolding IMWR perlu
dipersiapkan semua keperluan mulai dari LKM, referensi, alat dan bahan
praktikum sehingga waktu yang tersedia cukup untuk pembelajaran dengan
menggunakan strategi ini.
4. Perancangan item tes disarankan menggunakan dua bentuk soal yaitu pilihan
ganda dengan alasan dan bentuk uraian.
C. Rekomendasi
1. Strategi scaffolding IMWR perlu dicobakan pada matakuliah lain disesuaikan
dengan karakteristik materi.
2. Strategi scaffolding IMWR perlu dicobakan pada jenjang sekolah menengah atau
