4.3.2. Pengolahan Data PFMEA
Pada tahap pengolahan data ini, dilakukan penilaian terhadap potensi bentuk kegagalan secara kualitatif untuk mendapatkan nilai severity, serta melakukan pengolahan data untuk mendapatkan nilai occurrence, detection dan menentukan nilai risk priority number (RPN). Nilai severity diperoleh melalui penilaian dari pihak perusahaan terhadap dampak dan gangguan yang ditimbulkan dari potensi kegagalan bila terjadi pada proses produksi berdasarkan penilaian yang diberikan oleh pihak perusahaan. Nilai occurrence merupakan perbandingan antara jumlah cacat dengan total output pada masing – masing fungsi proses. Penilaian tersebut bersifat kuantitatif berdasar pada data pengamatan langsung ke perusahaan. Hasil perbandingan tersebut merupakan perhitungan dari possible
failure rate. Nilai dari possible failure rate dijadikan acuan untuk menentukan
nilai occurance. Nilai detection merupakan kemampuan untuk mendeteksi potensi dari kegagalan yang dapat terjadi pada proses produksi dimana pengolahan tersebut dilakukan untuk mengetahui kemampuan dari sistem pengukuran pada

proses produksi. Berdasarkan hasil pengolahan yang dilakukan untuk mencari nilai severity, occurrence dan detection maka dapat digunakan untuk menentukan nilai risk priority number (RPN).
