PENJELASAN TEKNIS TECHNICAL NOTES 1. Secara astronomis, Kota Palopo
terletak antara 2053’15” – 3004’08”
Lintang Selatan dan 120003’10” – 120014’34” Bujur Timur.
2. Berdasarkan posisi geografis, Kota Palopo memiliki batas-batas:
Utara – Kecamatan Walenrang Kabupaten Luwu; Selatan - Kecamatan Bua Kabupaten Luwu; Barat - Kecamatan Tondon Nanggala Kabupaten Toraja Utara;
Timur – Teluk Bone.
3. Kota Palopo terdiri dari 9 kecamatan, antara lain :
• Wara Selatan ketinggian air hujan yang jatuh pada tempat yang datar dengan asumsi tidak menguap, tidak meresap dan tidak mengalir.
Curah hujan 1 mm adalah air hujan setinggi 1 mm yang jatuh (tertampung) pada tempat yang datar seluas 1 m2 dengan asumsi tidak ada yang menguap, mengalir, dan meresap.

2. In terms of geographic position, Palopo Municipality has boundaries as follows: North - Walenrang District of Luwu Regency; South - Bua District of Luwu Regency; West - Tondon Nangala District of North Toraja Regency; East – Bone Bay.
3. Palopo Municipality has nine subdistrict. These include:
• Wara Selatan height of rain falling on a level with the assumption does not evaporate, does not seep and flow.
Precipitation of 1 mm of rain is as high as 1 mm that fell (deposited) on a flat area of 1 m2, assuming no yawning, flowing, and pervasive.

5. Curah hujan kumulatif satu bulan adalah jumlah curah hujan yang terkumpul selama 28 atau 29 hari untuk bulan Februari dan 30 atau 31 hari untuk bulan-bulan lainnya.

ULASAN DESCRIPTION Luas wilayah Kota Palopo tercatat
247,52 km persegi yang meliputi 9 kecamatan dan 48 kelurahan.
Kecamatan terluas di Kota Palopo adalah Kecamatan Wara Barat dengan luas 54,13 km persegi atau mencakup 21,87 persen dari luas Kota Palopo secara keseluruhan. Sedangkan, kecamatan dengan luas terkecil adalah Kecamatan Wara Utara dengan luas 10,58 km persegi atau hanya sebesar 4,27 persen dari luas Kota Palopo.
Jarak antara Kota Palopo ke Ibukota Provinsi Sulawesi Selatan, Kota Makassar, adalah 390 km. Jarak seluruh ibukota kecamatan ke ibukota Kota Palopo semua relatif dekat, berkisar antara 1 – 5 km, yang terjauh adalah ibukota Kecamatan Telluwanua dengan jarak tercatat sekitar 12,00 km.
Iklim di Kota Palopo pada umumnya sama dengan daerah lainnya di Indonesia yang memiliki dua musim yaitu musim kemarau dan musim penghujan. Pada tahun 2021 bulan Januari menjadi bulan dengan curah hujan tertinggi yaitu 628 mm3 dengan jumlah hari hujan sebanyak 26 hari. Sebagai catatan, karena tidak terdapat perwakilan Badan Meteorologi Klimatologi dan Geofisika di Kota Palopo, maka sumber data curah hujan mengacu pada data dari Badan Meteorologi, Klimatologi, dan Geofisika (BMKG) Kelas I Maros.
The area of Palopo Municipality is 247,52 kilometre per square which include 9 subdistrict and 48 urban villages. The widest subdistrict in Palopo Municipality was Wara Barat with 54,13 kilometre per square or includes 21,87 percent of total area and the smallest was Wara Utara with 10,58 kilometre per square or includes only 4,27 percent of the total area of Palopo Municipality.
Distance of Palopo Municipality Makassar, Capital City of Sulawesi Selatan Province is 390 km. While distance of each subdistrict capital to the capital of Palopo Municipality was closed enough, the farthest subdistrict capital was in Telluwanua Subdistrict with 12 km. Others is only about 1-5 km.
The climate in Palopo Municipality is generally the same as the other regions in Indonesia which has two seasons:
the dry season and the rainy season. In 2021, January became the month with the highest rainfall which is 628 mm3 with the number of rainy days as much as 26 days. As a note, because there is no representative of the Meteorology Climatology and Geophysics Agency in Palopo City, the source of rainfall data refers to Meteorology, Climatology, and Geophisics Council of Maros Regency.

PENJELASAN TEKNIS TECHNICAL NOTES 1. Menurut Undang-Undang
Dasar Republik Indonesia 1945 (hasil amandemen kedua), yaitu pada Bab VI tentang Pemerintahan Daerah, Pasal 18, Ayat 1, dinyatakan bahwa “Negara Kesatuan Republik Indonesia dibagi atas daerah-daerah provinsi dan daerah provinsi itu dibagi atas kabupaten dan kota, yang tiap-tiap provinsi, kabupaten, dan kota itu mempunyai pemerintahan daerah, yang diatur dengan undang-undang.”
2. Secara administrasi, Kota Palopo terbentuk menurut dasar hukum UU Nomor 11 Tahun 2002 tentang Pembentukan Daerah Otonom Kota Palopo dan Kabupaten Mamasa Provinsi Sulawesi Selatan.
3. Untuk mendukung penyelenggaraan kegiatan
statistik, BPS menetapkan kode dan nama wilayah kerja statistik.
Penetapan dituangkan dalam Peraturan Kepala BPS Nomer 3 Tahun 2020 Tanggal 6 Mei 2020 tentang Perubahan Atas Peraturan Kepala BPS Nomor 90 Tahun 2020 tentang Kode dan Nama Wilayah Kerja Statistik Tahun 2018. Sampai dengan Desember 2021, wilayah kerja statistik di Kota Palopo meliputi 9 kecamatan dan 48 kelurahan.

As stated in Undang-Undang Dasar Republik Indonesia 1945 (after second amendment), in Chapter IV, clause 18, verse 1, stated “Negara Kesatuan Republik Indonesia divided by Provinces whereas the province itself divided by Regencies and Cities, and owned local government and regulated by Constitution”.
2. Administratively, Palopo Municipality was formed according
to the legal basis of Law No. 11/
2002 about the Formation of the Autonomous Region of Palopo Municipality and Mamasa Regency, Sulawesi Selatan Province.
3. In collecting statistical data, BPS-Statistics Indonesia has set codes and names of all regional level where the data collection is undertaken. It was stipulated in Chief Statistician Regulation Number 3 of 2021, May 6th 2021, as a revision of Chief Statistician Regulation Number 90 of 2018 on Code and Number of Regional Level of Data Collection. Up to December 2021, the regions of statistical data collection in Palopo Municipality has comprised 9 subdistrict and 48 urban village.

4. Kecamatan adalah wilayah administratif yang merupakan kepanjangan tangan dari pemerintah kabupaten atau kota. Kecamatan dipimpin oleh seorang camat, masing-masing merupakan pegawai negeri sipil serta bertanggung jawab kepada bupati atau wali kota yang melingkupi batas-batas wilayahnya. Setiap kecamatan terdiri dari beberapa kelurahan/
desa atau nama lain.
5. Tingkatan di bawah kecamatan adalah Kelurahan atau desa.
Kelurahan dipimpin oleh seorang lurah, sementara desa dipimpin oleh seorang kepala desa.
6. Rukun Warga (RW) adalah pembagian wilayah di Indonesia di bawah dusun atau lingkungan.
7. Rukun Tetangga (RT) adalah pembagian wilayah di Indonesia di bawah Rukun Warga.
8. Pegawai Negeri Sipil (PNS) adalah pegawai yang telah memenuhi syarat yang ditentukan, diangkat oleh pejabat yang berwenang dan diserahi tugas dalam suatu jabatan negeri, atau diserahi tugas negara lainnya, dan digaji berdasarkan peraturan perundang-undangan yang berlaku.
4. Subdistrict is an administrative area located within Regency or Munacipality which led by Camat.
Camat itself is a legal civil servant and report directly to Bupati or Walikota. Subdstrict consist of Urban Communities/Village.
5. Urban Communities one level below the Subdistrict were Kelurahan or village. Kelurahan was led by lurah, meanwhile village led by village head.
6. Rukun Warga (RW) is administrative area that put it all together to construct Dusun or Lingkungan.
7. Rukun Tetangga (RT) is one level area below RW.
