G. Technique of Analyzing Data

From result of calculation above, the inter-rater reliability in this research was 0.589. Thus, it was categorized into high level.

1. If the probability (sig)> 0.05 H0 is accepted, it means the data is normally distributed.

2. If the probability (sig)< 0.05 Ha is accepted, it means the data is abnormally distributed.

After knowing the data is normally distributed, the researcher needed to use Independent Sample T-test analysis in order to know whether or not there is a significant difference on students’ speaking performance between extroverts and introverts with SPSS 23.00 version.

CONCLUSION AND SUGGESTION

A. Conclusion

This research was conducted to find out if there is a significant difference between extrovert and introvert students on their speaking performance at MTs Al-Mujtahadah.

Based on the finding of the research, it can be concluded that first, extrovert students’ speaking performance at MTs Al-Mujtahadah was at very good category. Second, introvert students’ speaking performance at MTs Al-Mujtahadah was at good category. Third, the result of the difference between extrovert and introvert students’ speaking performance the sig. (2-tailed) was 0.010. If sig (2-tailed) < 0.05 then Ha is accepted, it means there is a significant difference between two groups. Meanwhile if sig (2-tailed) > 0.05 then Ho is accepted, it means there is no significant difference between two groups. Persuant to the table IV.43, it can be seen that the sig (2-tailed) 0.010

< 0.05. It indicates Ha is accepted and H0 is rejected. So, it could be concluded that “There is a significant difference between extrovert and introvert students in speaking performance at MTs Al-Mujtahadah”.

B. Suggestion

Considering the difference between extrovert and introvert students on their speaking performance, the researcher would like to give some suggestion to:

1. The teacher

The researcher suggests considering the different type of students’

personality; extrovert and introvert. Extrovert and introvert students will have different way in receiving the knowledge. Moreover, the teacher can apply different method in teaching speaking which is not only focus to extrovert students who tend to be active in the class but also to introvert students who tend to be quiet.

2. The students (extrovert and introvert).

Since extrovert students are good in socializing, they should motivate and encourage their classmates, and they love working on teams.

For extrovert students, it is suggested that be fluently in your speaking.

Performing a good speaking does not mean using the fast speed. Most extrovert students speak with fast speed and they feel so confident. So, they should maintain it well with no over confidence and arrogance. It occasionally makes them fail. For introvert students, becoming an introvert is not bad, the students only need a right time to speak. They can become better over time, and even though they are nervous. They should extend their limitations step by step that can help them grow become more fluent when meeting new people. The introvert students must have better

confidence in improving their English speaking. Confidence is the subject matter of the introvert students who tend to rise in teaching learning process.
