2013 My School data submission
Background
Each year the Queensland Curriculum and Assessment Authority (QCAA) forward individual school data to the Australian Curriculum, Assessment and Reporting Authority (ACARA) for publication on the My School website. The 2013 data has been submitted to ACARA.
The Department of Education, Training and Employment (DETE) provides QCAA with a snapshot of school-based apprenticeship and traineeships (SATs) data. The QCAA attempt to match student records by name and date-of-birth, however, errors can occur due to mismatches in student details.
Principals can now view and check their school’s data.
The 2013 My School data submission report
Your 2013 My School data submission report is broken into three parts:
• VET students by industry area
• SATs
• SAT student details (provided to aid data checking; not forwarded to ACARA for publication).
If you advise us that your school data contains major inaccuracies (i.e. figures significantly misrepresent your school’s achievements), we can contact ACARA and ask for it to be corrected.
What you need to do
If you wish to check the data submitted to ACARA for your school, promptly download your 2013 VET in schools data report from the QCAA secure website1:
https://www.qcaa.qld.edu.au/secure_site/Login.do.
If you believe your data has major inaccuracies, please email the QCAA Data Management Unit with the correct data at [email protected] no later than Tuesday 19 August 2014.
