1 Collect Coms Pack
- Distributed by SND (Ben Mills) 2 Turn on Dimmers
- Turn on all 3-phase switches (orange plugs) inside LX cage.
There should be 9 in total.
- Ensure all dimmers power on correctly.
- Ensure no circuits have been tripped. Notify DT immediately if any have been.
- Ensure dimmer cage is clean and clear and closed at all times.
3 Turn on LED Flex Lights
- These are plugged into the upstage wall ps hatch in white hotpower.
- Unlock hatch if required using silver key stored on LX cabinet in dimmer cage.
4 Request venue to be isolated by Duty Technician
- Duty Technician (Helen) will confirm once venue is isolated.
- Do not attempt any actions with Hazer prior to this.
5 Assist ASM with Flutter reset
- The lifter is required to reset this which is stored on level 6.
- Ensure safety log of lifter is completed prior to use and that the DT is present during use.
6 Assist in the sweeping and mopping of stage.
- Brooms are located in the dock near LX cage.
- Mops are stored in the showers of the dressing rooms.
- Use the boiler unit in the greenroom to fill mop bucket.
- Avoid making contact with the blue tape onstage where possible.

- Cue 0.1 = all fixtures at 30% over 30 seconds.
- Inspect integrity of all gels. Replace if required.
- Action next cues to check the focus position of the following.
a) Cue 0.2 | Channel 91 (Will's singing special) | Should be hitting head and upper torso of will sitting on Box D.
b) Cue 0.35 | Channel 30 (PC above rostra) | Should be focused to hit just the rostra via barn doors.
c) Channel 111 (LED Flex lights) | Ensure control is receiving DMX signal.
1-Hour Call As announced by DSM 1 Assist DSM as required during fight choreography call.
2 Turn on hazer unit.
- The hazer unit used is a MDG ATMe atmospheric hazer.
- Turn on unit via the switch on the back of the unit.
- Check hazer fluid levels via the gold cap on top of the unit.
- Open valve on gas bottle.
3 Inspect integrity of LED Flex mounting - Ensure all mounting is firmly attached to rostra.
- Ensure sharp corners are covered safely.
15 Minutes to Beginners call As announced by DSM 1 Power on LED lights inside set.
- Three LED torches are positioned inside the upstage set boxes.
- Turn on these units ensuring that the light is committing from the larger side panel on the torch.
- Replace batteries if required. Spare batteries are located on LX desk in dock.
2 Ensure Blues have been switched on in the Box and Dock.

- Action LXQ 0.4 (blackout over 10sec) - Action any issues.
- Enter LXQ 0.5 (pre-show) after completion.
During Performance
1 Take note of any lighting issues to be rectified prior to next performance.
2 Complete any tidy work around the venue as required.
Post-Show
After receiving FOH clearance 1 Turn on Stage Workers when clearance is received from DSM
Switch is located upstage of the FOH entrance on PS.
2 Power off LED lights inside set.
- Three LED torches are positioned inside the upstage set boxes.
- Turn on these units ensuring that the light is committing from the larger side panel on the torch.
- Replace batteries if required. Spare batteries are located on LX desk in dock.
3 Turn on LED Flex Lights
- These are plugged into the upstage wall ps hatch in white hotpower.
- Unlock hatch if using silver key stored on LX cabinet in dimmer cage.
- Return key after use.
4 Power-Down Hazer This procedure includes:
- Ensure valve on hazer gas cylinder is firmly closed.
- Turn off the Hazer unit via switch on the back of the unit.
- Observe haze fluid level by unscrewing the gold cap on the top of the unit.
- Check the weight of the gas bottle to estimate the amounts of CO2 left - Notify DT once completed.
5 Check-In with LX OP Inquire and investigate:
- Any system issues - Any cueing issues
- Any general notes / observations
- Any recommendations for performance improvements
6 Report any issues to PSM for inclusion in performance report.

Pre Show:
2 hour Call:
- Upon arrival to the Loft, sign in and go up to the Bio Box on level 6.
- Power on the ETC ION lighting console by pressing the power on button next to the small screen on the desk.
- Open the show file, 2018_QUTActing_MND_ShowFile, that is at the top of the list with the most recent date and time.
- Go back down and sweep. Once the sweeping is complete, go to the female dressing room bathroom and retrieve the mops and the mop bucket and fill it with boiling water from the boiling water dispenser in the kitchenette of the green room.
- Mop the theatre floor.
Hour Call:
- Turn on blue dock lights
- Turn on blue bio box lights
- Bring haze inhibitor, heat and enabler subs to full. Double check with the Head Electrician and Duty Technician that the venue is isolated before the haze rate sub is brought up.
- Pre show lamp checks (Cues 0.1 thru 0.36) at the discretion of the Head Electrician.
- Be in LX cue 0.36 for the actors fight choreography 15 Minutes before beginners:
- Bring haze rate sub to 40% for 20 seconds Prior to FOH doors:
