TAS Aquatic Centre’s Olympic pool is considered to be the best facility of its kind in Regional Australia. Located in Tropical Cairns, within Trinity Anglican School (TAS) our swimming programme produces State and National Swimmers. The emphasis is on high quality swimming and competition within a nurturing environment. Our results speak for themselves.
Owing to the expansion of our programme we now seek to employ a highly motivated Director of Swimming.
In order to succeed in this role you will hold as a minimum, a Silver Licence or be close to achieving that level, have a sound track record coaching young athletes to State and National level, and be results driven.
In addition, you will be a highly motivated individual who has the experience to manage a commercial Aquatic Centre. You will have the ability to set and manage budgets to increase overall turnover. You should possess sound people
management skills and be able to lead a customer focussed team to gain results.
You will possess exemplary communication skills, and be comfortable managing swimmer, parent and swimming club relationships.
This role will require the successful applicant to put in place swimming programmes for TAS and our competitive swimming programme from LTS through to High
Performance, it is anticipated you will have a minimum of 5 years experience in a similar role.
