Previous Minutes:

Moved Maryanne Braeckmans and 2^nd Lee-Anne that the minutes be accepted.

Business Arising from Previous Minutes:

 Wallsend relay selection

- Based on a 100m times run on a competition night.

- If at least 2 100m times are not available then 70m and 200m times can be used to assist decision

- Decision made at November Committee meeting of teams by at least 3 committee members.

- Also at November meeting decision made on team managers for Zone/Regional.

- President (or delegate) then approach individual athletes re availability/willingness to be part of the relay

- Designated coach/s can train relay team but ultimate decisions rest with team manager

- Team that competes at Zone stays the same for Regional (unless injuries)

- All enquiries/withdrawals to be directed to team manager as they need to notify Carnival Co-ordinator

 Stockton committee remains the same as last season

 ANL still to provide new committee contacts Out going email:

Troy has suggested that if you listed above with outstanding paperwork but you have already forwarded such to LANSW just scan and email to them again but CC Troy into the email and if you still come up on next month’s list we can chase it up.

 Centre Numbers not returned Medowie 4, Port Stephens 6, Thornton 4, Wallsend 4.

The centres that were at the meeting have said that the numbers have all been returned. Troy suggested that they contact LANSW.

 Coach Education Workshops – any centres interested in hosting Report from Zone Coordinators workshop:

 The lack of communication from LANSW was bought up, Zone Co’s now receive a weekly update from Kerry.

 LAPS coached needed – if interested contact LANSW must be available during school hours

 Survey results – parents seem to want more training & coaching at centre levels

 Basic Event Training – if you would like to have Troy run one please let him know.

Troy will be running one at Myall Coast on Sunday 11^th September

 From next year the annual conference will be every 2^nd year and a 1 day AGM will be held in Sydney on the off years

 Bronwyn White appointed as Region Support Office by ANSW replacing Scott Westcott

 Suggestions for using u-tube as a training tool

 U12-U17 Exemption for those not able to compete at Zone but being included in Region due to them competing in a National Sporting event included any type of sport

 There was a push for timed Regional Carnivals

 WWCC audits will be held for centres this year WWCC:
