During the past year (1868) I operated twice, once in the infirmaries of the Melbourne Lie-in Hospital, and once in private practice. There were several circumstances connected with Avonvale to remind one of Commodore Perry. HUNT referred to the doubt about the identity or non-identity of the disease. At the annual meeting of the Geelong Hospital, held a week or two ago, a proposal was made by a Mr. The proposal was very properly put out of action, but it is said that the absurdity must be brought up again at a special meeting of the subscribers. A public dispensary was established in East Collingwood under the auspices of the City and Suburban Mission.
