Committee of principals to select district review panel chairs and members in the Rockhampton district
Purpose
A vacancy exists on the committee of principals to select and recommend chairs and members of review panels in the Rockhampton district.
This memorandum requests expressions of interest to fill the vacancy for the remainder of the current appointment cycle: to 30 April 2011.
Background
Members of the committee work with the district coordinator to select chairs and members of review panels within the district. The district coordinator manages the process of selection for the committee.
Committee members represent all other principals in the district. For this reason, the committee consists of three to five members, based on the principle of representation with a balance of:
• school type
• gender
• geographic location (where applicable)
• subject area background.
The term of appointment to the committee is for the remainder of the current appointment cycle.
Maximum tenure on the committee is three consecutive terms.
Applications sought
The application (expression of interest form) should include information about your subject area expertise, your knowledge of review panel operations and the names of two colleague principals in the district who would support your membership of the committee.
A chair of the committee will be selected by the committee members.

Please complete the enclosed expression of interest form and return it to the Rockhampton district office to be received by Monday 29 March 2010
