Any money not required to repay the loan will be repaid to the Authority by the Trustees. In the event of the death of a shareholder, the survivor or survivors if the deceased was a co-owner, and the legal personal representatives of the deceased if he was the sole holder, will be the only persons recognized by the Authority as entitled to the ownership rights . his interest in the shares, but nothing contained herein shall relieve the estate of a deceased joint holder from any liability in respect of shares held jointly by him with other persons. Provided that the Authority shall be free to retain the interest payable on any stock until such person shall himself be registered as holder of the stock or a person nominated by him as the transferee thereof shall be registered. The interest on stock may be paid by check payable to the holder or co-holders or one or more of them or to such person or persons as the holder or co-holders may direct and payment of the check is in satisfaction of the interest. A check may be sent by post to the registered address of the holder, or in the case of joint holders, the registered address of one or more of them or to the address of any person or persons as aforesaid.
At the request of any holder or co-holders, interest may, at the discretion of the Authority, be paid by check drawn in favor of any bank of the holder or in the case of co-holders any one or more of them or any such person or persons as aforesaid and payment of the check shall be settled the interest.
I. STOCK
A vote called for on the election of a Chairman of the meeting or on a question of adjournment is taken immediately. The number of members of the Authority shall at any time exceed the maximum determined by the Agreement. An associate member will only attend the meetings of the Council as the members decide.
Any member may at any time appoint any person approved by the Board as a deputy member of the Authority. The deputy member, as long as he holds office as such, will be considered a member of the Authority. The quorum necessary for the transaction of the business of the Authority may be determined by the Board, and unless otherwise determined, shall be three.
Except as provided by law or by paragraph (1) or paragraph (4) of this Article V., no shares shall be issued by the Authority except with the consent of the Governor in Council. For the purpose of calculating depreciation, the Authority's activities are grouped into appropriate groups. The Authority will not acquire any further shares in the subsidiary without the consent of the Minister.

REGULATIONS 109 (2) The term "routine work" shall mean and include all routine work specified in sub-clause (2) of section 32 of the agreement entered into on the thirteenth day of July 1939 between the City Electric Light Company Limited and the State Electricity Commission of Queensland, namely:-. a) Furniture, fixtures and equipment suitable for and for use for the purposes of the office and the general administration of the authority's business. Provided that no extension of the Authority's continuous current system, the installed cost of which exceeds £100 (£100), shall be routine work. m) Works, additions to and/or extensions of works for the purpose of supplying electricity to public lamps suitable for and used by a local or other statutory authority. Southern Electric Authority of Queensland Acts, 1952 to which it is inter alia enacted that the Authority may, with the approval of the Commission, make by-laws for all or any of the matters and things mentioned, and that such by-laws may adopt or exclude any by-law made under to the provisions of “The Electric Light and Power Acts, 1896 to Now, also, the Southern.
A requisition directing the Authority to lay electric lines for the purpose of general supply through any road or part of a road may be made by six or more owners or occupiers of premises along such road or part of a road or by the local authority. Every such requisition shall be signed by the persons making the same or by or on behalf of the local authority (as the case may be) and shall state an address within the supply area of each person signing the same, upon which a notice under By-law 6 may be served on such person by the Authority and must be served on the Authority. Upon tendering to the Authority of the said Agreement and depositing with the Authority the required security (if any) within the time limited for the tender of the said Agreement, the requisition becomes and is binding on the Authority.
If the Commission directs the Authority to issue a fresh notice in accordance with paragraph (b) of sub-clause (1) hereof, the period mentioned in sub-clause (6) hereof shall be extended until the expiry of twenty-eight days after the service of such notice. In addition to the conditions specified in paragraph (b) or paragraph (c) of sub-clause (1) of this Ordinance, the Authority may require the Local Authority to undertake for a period of three years at least a supply of electricity for the lighting of a public lamp of two hundred candle power, at least on the road or in the section of a road for which the claim is made. THE AUTHORITY MAY REQUIRE PROVISIONS OF LAW 6. 6) If, for the purpose of satisfying a claim served on the Authority under the provisions of this Regulation, it is considered necessary by the Authority to repair electrical lines or works laying or constructing or making changes and/or additions to existing electrical lines or works or incurring costs (with the exception of electrical lines or works or additions to electrical lines or works the costs or expenses of which are incurred by such lines or works Authority to be paid owner, occupier or consumer) the Authority may deal with any such claim: as a claim under the provisions of Regulation 5 and may serve a notice on such owner-occupier or consumer under any of the provisions of sub-clause (1) of Regulation 6 and the provisions of Regulation 6 shall apply mutatis mutandis accordingly.
The Authority may not connect a consumer's installation to the electrical lines unless this installation has been constructed and installed in the prescribed manner.
