The chief inspector can determine the number and qualifications (according to several certificates of competence p r ~ s c r i ~ d ). persons who shall at the same time be employed in the operation of any machinery to which and in relation to which the fifteenth section of this Act applies. This section applies to and in relation to all machinery, whether or not it is to which this Act is stated to apply.

The occupant of any place (a) shall ensure that it is securely enclosed with fencing of substantial material. A holder of an engineer's certificate issued by a recognized authority who has been in charge of and driven an internal combustion engine for a period of at least one year - a combustion certificate of the class deemed appropriate by the competent authority Board of Directors in his case;. Any application for eligibility for a certificate under these rules shall be submitted to the Chairman of the Council accompanied by the prescribed fee.

When eligibility for certificate is to be transferred, (1) any and (a) candidate for examination for any certificate under this Act;. certificate for at least twelve months and since the issuance of this certificate. i) must have been in charge of machinery (including boilers), to take charge of which the required authority is a second class e n ~ n e ~ r ’ s certificate, for at least one thousand hours within a period of eighteen months; or. ii) shall have assisted the engineer in charge of machinery {i n c ~ u d ~ g boilers) to take charge as the necessary authority is an engineer. thousand hours within a period. The holder of a second-class boilerman's certificate who, since the grant of that certificate, has assisted the person in charge of engines, for the taking over of which the required qualification is a Zirst or second-class certificate of class machinist's certificate, for at least two hundred and fifty hours, is entitled on a second class driver's certificate. Having worked outside the State of Queenland or on board a ship and actually assisted the person responsible for a boiler or boilers will be a required qualification for t% of responsibility for the person responsible. that in this State a boiler keeper's certificate is first class or second class, for at least seven hundred and fifty hours. and have successfully passed such written examination relating to boilers, a requisite authority for the taking of which there exists in this state a second class boiler keeper's certificate as the Board may require. A candidate for a third class boiler keeper certificate. a) Must have experience working under the supervision of an operator's certificate or boiler holder. certificate from an attendant of any class or from a person appointed by the Chief Inspector, with boilers, to take charge. the required qualification is a third class boilerman certificate, for at least two hundred and fifty hours within a period of three ~ one month; And. have passed the d approved oral and practical examination, administered by an inspector, in respect of boilers presented for takeover and for which the required qualification is a third class farmer's certificate.

A certificate engineer or machinist whose evidence is required by an applicant for the purposes of this rule shall furnish such evidence unless he satisfies the Board that he has good reason not to do so. (a) The qualified person shall have assisted in the charging of air conditioning equipment powered by an engine or engines having a power or, as the case may be, a total power exceeding 150 kilowatts, for at least five hundred hours within a twelve-month period months; or.
