The Local Authority Areas co-funding the City of Gladstone and the Calliope Shire are hereby declared to be the operating area of the Gladstone Area in the former Board. The term of service to be served by the members of the Board before the commencement of this Act is extended so that such members, subject to this Act, shall be as a temporary Board until the date on which the terms of membership of the members who will first constitute the Board according to this law and no more. The Council, with its recommendation, with a notice published in the Gazette, and will assume the task in implementation of this provision.
The Board may construct such works, s and other works as it deems to be. contract or enter into agreements with any Local Authority in respect of the operation and maintenance of the main facilities, treatment works and trunk network of the Board and in respect of such other services to be provided by the Board as it considers necessary or desirable. ;.
