HSC unit credit for VET courses can be accredited to the Preliminary and/or HSC pattern of study.
Furnishing School-based Apprenticeship (300 indicative hours)
• accredited for a total of 5 units at the Preliminary and/or HSC level
• attempt one compulsory unit of competency (CPCCOHS1001A) and elective units of competency to a minimum of 290 HSC indicative hours.
To count a course towards the HSC program of study students must satisfy the course completion criteria as required by the Board of Studies. Refer to Section 8.4 of the Assessment, Certification and Examination (ACE) Manual.
Access including access by students in Stage 5
This course is for students undertaking a school-based apprenticeship.

AQF VET qualification
To attain Certificate III in Cabinet Making (LMF32109) students must achieve 27 units of competency including:
a) 6 mandatory units of competency b) 18 specialist units of competency
- a minimum of 8 units of competency from Groups 2A and 2C or Groups 2B and 2C - the balance of units of competency from any combination from Groups 2A, 2B, 2C and 2D
c) 3 other elective units of competency – any combination from Groups 2A, 2B, 2C, 2D and other units in the LMF02 Training Package (may include up to one from Certificate IV level and one from Certificate II level).
