An Act to amend the Registration of Business Names
Act, 1928.[Assented to, November I5th. I932.J

E it Enacted by the Governor of the State of South Australia, with the advice and consent of the Parliament thereof, as follows:1.
(1) This Act may be cited as the" Registration of Business Short titles.Names Act Amendment Act, 1932". .
(2) The Registration of Business Names Act, 1928 (which is here- No.18GI of 1928.
inafter referred to as "the principal Act"), and this Act mav be cited together as the" Registration of Business Names Acts, w1928 and 1932 ".

Section 4 of the principal Act is amended by inserting therein ~~dment ofafter paragraph (b) thereof the following paragraph:- pnnClpal Aot, 8. 4 - Registration.
(c) every corporation having a place of business in South Australia and carrying on business under a business name which does not consist of its corporate name without any addition,
3. Section 6 of the principal Act is amended by inserting at Amendment of

(b) by inserting after the word " Act" in the fourth line thereof the words" or shall without reasonable excuse fail, upon furnishing any' such statement, to pay to the "egistrar the fee prescrIbed therefor". \
5. The principal Act is amended by inserting therein after section
22 the following section : -
22A. The Registrar may remove from the Register the name of any corporation registered under this Act the name of which has been struck off any register of companies kept under the Companies Act, 1892.
6. The principal Act is amended by inserting therein after section 23 the following section : -
23A. In any proceedings for an offence against this Act, if proof is given that any business name is displayed on any premises, and evidence is given from which the Court may infer that the business name has reference to any business carried on in such premises, the firm or person carrying on such business shall, in the absence of proof to the contrary, be deemed to be carrying on such business under such business name.
