Act to amend the Highways Acts, 1926 to 1930.

E it Enacted by the Governor of the State of South Australia, with the advice and consent of the Parliament thereof, a8 follows:

1. (1) This Act may be cited as the" Highways Act AmendmentShon titles.

(2) The Highways Acts, 1926 to 1930, and this Act may be cited together as the" Highways Acts, 1926 to 1932".

(3) The Hi9hways Act, 1926, is hereinafter referred to as "the No. 1769 of 1926.

(2) For the purposes of this section-

" Public road" means-

I. All streets and roads delineated and shown on the public m~ps or plans of the State as laid out for public purposes by the Crown:

II. All streets and roads opened under any Act relating to the opening of new streets and roads:

III. All streets and roads conveyed or transferred to the Minister of Local Government by the' owners thereof in fee simple and accepted by the said Mip.is~r as public streets or roads:

IV. !II streets and roads which have been dediCated

to the public. .

(3) Nothing in this section shall be deemed to affect ap.r power of the Commissioner of Crown Lands under sect~oIl.

Subsection (4) of section 30 of the principal Act (as enacted py section 4 of the Highways Act, 1929) is hereby repealed.

5. Section 314 of the principal Act (as enacte<) by section 80f the Highways Act, 1930) is amended by striking out the wo~

"two years" in the fourth line thereof and by inserting in lieu thereof the words "~three years".
