The Weekly Bias Newsletter – Tuesday, 5
thJune 2018 Good morning everyone
Hope you all had a fantastic long weekend. We certainly did, enjoying the country air of York, Quairading, Corrigin and Wave Rock. A little chilly, but gorgeous weather, even the dog enjoyed all the travelling.
Ladies Bowls – Patsy Smith, Ladies Captain
Foundation day was marred by illness. Linda Robertson, at the young age of 94, came along for a while, however she was without the company of other Foundation Members, many of whom were not well. Also notably absent was Bob Williams. Bob goes to a lot of effort for this event and generously supports it. Sadly Bob was unwell and not able to attend. We wish him a speedy recovery.
The Winners of the Winners were Stewart Foster, Rudi Loser, & Dorothy Bowman. Runners up Robyn White, Gene Sputore & Phil Whitehurst. The Winners of the Losers were Peter Brown, Jeanette Brockman & Trevor Deakin.
Important notice Ladies
There will be no ladies bowls on Thursday 8th June until further notice. Attendance has been very low so I believe a break is necessary for everyone to recharge their batteries, ready to return with enthusiasm at a later date. If any ladies want to have a game you may do so. Remember to make a contribution to the roll up box and pay for your tea and coffee.
I will continue to monitor the situation and any feedback is welcome.

The Future of the Bias Newsletter
We are currently looking at condensing our communication with our members and streamlining to our main platform of the website. We all know how many emails we can get!! Our website has all the information that you would like to see, social events, results, bingo, The Weekly Bias to name a few. If you have not been to our website lately, please do so, have a good look around, we are always updating the site and welcome your feedback.
The newsletter is located on the website www.hallsheadbowls.com.au on the home page, right hand side, pink tab, The Weekly Bias Newsletter. Printed copies will be available in the club as usual.
We have heard from a few members that they do not like the idea of the Bias only being on the website. We thought that this would be a great way to encourage all to be more active on the website, and reduce your emails. We will still remain open and listen to comments at this stage, from you, our members. If it seems you would prefer this to be emailed, then we will remain the status quo.

Congratulations and thank you to the good person who took
the initiative to clean the water stains off the Club sign at
the entrance. The Greens & Grounds people do not know
who you are, but it was a good deed. Come and collect a
couple of drink vouchers from the office for a job well done
