N. Hammon Scholarships*

It is awarded to the most outstanding student in the sixth year of the bachelor's degree in architecture. Awarded to the graduating full-time student with the best overall performance in the Bachelor of Business (Economics) Studies.

F. Storr Memorial Prize

Awarded to the Bachelor of Business student who achieves the best academic result in the unit MGB322 Compensation Management at the first attempt. Awarded to the Bachelor of Business student who achieves the best academic result in the unit BSB114 Government, Business and Society at the first attempt.

K. Claxton Award

Awarded to the third-year student who achieves the highest overall grade in the units OPB509 Optometry 5 and OPB609 Optometry 6. Awarded to the student who achieves the highest grade point average with distinction in the Bachelor of Health Science (Environmental Health).

M. Fraser Health Award

The awardee must have been enrolled full-time or equivalent in the Bachelor of Education (Pre-Service) Secondary, Primary, Early Childhood or a double degree program comprising the Bachelor of Education (Secondary) award at QUT for at least two years and must have the highest overall course GPA achieved. The student must have graduated in the year of the award with the highest grade point average (GPA) in educational leadership/management studies at QUT.

W. Graves Award for Orthotics

Insolvency Law: An annual prize awarded to the student with the best performance in the unit LWB307 Insolvency Law. Lee awarded to the student with the best performance in the unit LWB431 Civil Procedure Law.

G. Copp Memorial Prize

Awarded to the graduate with the best overall academic performance at the third level of the Bachelor of Applied Science (Biotechnology). Awarded to the student who achieves the best academic record in the third year of the Bachelor of Applied Science (Medical Imaging Technology).

R. Saal Prize

ENROLMENT

In the case of multi-semester units, provisions (i) and (ii) above only apply to the initial semester of the unit. Application is made directly to the University and must be submitted by the published deadline of the semester in which the student wishes to resume.

SANCTIONS ON STUDENTS WHO FAIL TO MEET OBLIGATIONS

NON-AWARD STUDIES 1 Definition

Visiting students are required to pay tuition and other fees as advised by the University. If a student is expelled from a course, the student will not be permitted to enroll in any unit of that course as a non-awarded student, except at the discretion of the dean of the faculty responsible for the course.

TRANSFER OF CREDIT

Applications for credits can be submitted before an offer of a place on the course has been received, but must be submitted before the deadline for applications for credits. Applications for academic credit received after the due date may not be processed in time for enrollment to be adjusted to reflect the credit awarded.

ASSESSMENT

Two values ​​of the GPA are given: the GPA for the semester and the GPA in the course. Only units taken after the introduction of the seven-point rating scale are included in the calculation.

REVIEW OF GRADES AND ACADEMIC RULINGS

The Registrar will normally notify students of the outcome within 21 days of receiving the application. Applications are forwarded to the relevant dean of the faculty, who determines the format of the examination.

UNSATISFACTORY ACADEMIC PERFORMANCE AND EXCLUSION

Students who are enrolled on probation at the end of the first semester remain on probation in the following semester. Students who are enrolled on probation at the end of the second semester remain enrolled on probation in the first and second semesters of the following year.

STUDENT APPEALS

At the end of the academic year, the academic council of the relevant faculty will review the academic performance of each student who is re-admitted to the course that year. If the appeal against the exclusion is upheld, the student is enrolled in probationary studies for the remainder of the academic year.

HIGHER EDUCATION

The companion may not speak unless invited by the chairman of the committee. Australian permanent residents living outside Australia for the semester for a reason other than a course requirement.

Receipt of the thesis by the Research Student Section constitutes the submission of the candidate's thesis for examination. Application must be made to the Research Degrees Committee for approval of re-examination arrangements.

Master of Applied Science (Research)

After approval has been granted, no change will be made except with the consent of the academic council. Where work is carried out together with other persons, the academic council will be informed of the extent of the candidate's contribution to the joint work.

Master of Public Policy (IF64)

With the approval of the course coordinator, credits and/or unit substitutions may be awarded up to a maximum of 48 credits. Each student is assigned to a supervisor, subject to the approval of the Course Coordinator, in consultation with the relevant Head of School.

Graduate Diploma in Facilities Management (IF92)

In addition to the above units, it is strongly recommended that all Graduate Degree students attend an Information Enhancement Skills session hosted by the QUT library. Graduates of this course can articulate on the Master of Facilities Management (CN75) offered by the School of Construction and Property Management, or the Master of Business Administration (Professional) (GS81) offered by the Graduate School of Business.

Dissertations should be temporarily bound to facilitate the implementation of any revisions and editorial changes required by examiners prior to final printing and binding.
