PUBLIC NOTICES
RABBIT BAITINg PROgRAMGrazing by the European Rabbit has a major impact on our environment. The rabbit baiting program aims to protect native flora and reduce the amount of damage to grassed areas.
The program involves an initial preparation period of non-poison carrots being laid.
Carrots baited with Pindone poison will then be placed in the reserve on two evenings during the advertised period. Any residual poison will be removed the following mornings.
The rabbit baiting program will run from Monday, 4 May to Wednesday, 3 June 2015.
The following reserves will be closed to all people and their pets from midday Monday, 4 May to midday Tuesday, 5 May and midday Wednesday, 6 May, to midday Thursday, 7 May 2015. The pesticide will be laid during these times, subject to weather conditions. Pesticide may be laid on the back up dates of 11–12 May and 13–14 May 2015 in case of inclement weather. The pesticide is lethal to dogs and cats and if consumed can cause illness to humans.
Pindone poison baiting sites are: Fred Caterson Reserve, Castle Hill; Eric Mobbs Reserve, Castle Hill; Castle Hill Heritage Park, Castle Hill; Les Shore Reserve, Glenorie; Bella Vista Farm, Baulkham Hills; Cockayne Reserve, Castle Hill; Holland Reserve, Glenhaven; Colburra Reserve, West Pennant Hills; Castle Hill Cemetery, Castle Hill; Pine tree Reserve, Carlingford.

PLANNINg PROPOSAL TO AMEND THE fLOOR SPACE RATIO fOR 2–4 BURBANk PLACE, BAULkHAM HILLS (8/2015/PLP)
Council has prepared a planning proposal to allow for the development of increased commercial floorspace at 2–4 Burbank Place, Baulkham Hills. The proposal seeks to amend the floor space ratio from 1:1 to 1.4:1 for the part of the site zoned B7 – Business Park. The planning proposal will facilitate increased employment opportunities within walking distance of the future Norwest Rail Station.
The Minister for Planning has chosen to delegate the making of the Plan to Council.
