WRITTEN QUESTION Mr Yan to the Minister for Health:
International Arrivals
1. In the past year, how many of the arrivals into the Northern Territory by air have been international arrivals? How many were from interstate?
From 1 January 2021 to 30 November 2021, there were 26 358 arrivals into the NT by air who declared arriving from overseas within the last 48 hours.
2. How many international arrivals to the Northern Territory, in total, have undertaken quarantine at the Howard Springs facility? How many have continued to other jurisdictions?
As at 30 November 2021, 28 536 people have undertaken quarantine in the NT at the Howard Springs Quarantine Facility/Centre for National Resilience.
NT Government does not count the onward travel of those exiting quarantine.
3. How many international arrivals to the Northern Territory have received a COVID vaccine in the Northern Territory? Are these recorded under Northern Territory vaccine statistics?
No international arrivals are vaccinated at quarantine facilities due to infection risk and other logistical concerns.
The NT Government does not track the previous travel of those who receive a COVID-19 vaccine in the NT.
