WRITTEN QUESTION

Mrs. Finocchiaro to the Minister for Police, Fire and Emergency Services:

Corporate and Governance

1. How many of the current Senior Executive across Police, Fire and Emergency Services sections are up for contract renewal before 30 September 2018, and how this will affect the hard working rank and file on the front line?

2. What budget measures / cost savings measures have been put in place for 2018-19? Has a target figure been proposed?

ANSWERS

1. Nil.

2. EY (formerly Ernst & Young) was engaged to assist the Northern Territory (NT) Police, Fire and Emergency Services (NTPFES) to:

develop a three year budget strategy, broken down year-by-year, to manage the forward budget of the NTPFES, sustainably, to ensure a return to budget; and

produce a refreshed Strategic Plan 2023, associated implantation plan and performance outcomes which includes forward priorities and a path to improve NTPFES effectiveness and efficiency.

Final outcomes will be presented to the NT Government Budget Review Sub-Committee of Cabinet for consideration.
