NSW Interschools -‐ Perisher and Thredbo Scholarship Program
Program Objective
The objective of the NSW Interschools Perisher and Thredbo Scholarship Program is to provide support to NSW aspiring Snowsports athletes to assist them in achieving their goals through the provision of Thredbo or Perisher products or services.
The benefits offered through these scholarships give athletes the opportunity to maintain a determined focus on their goals and to support them in furthering their Snowsports ambitions.
NSW athletes from 12 to 18 years of age are eligible to apply for assistance from the program, and support will be awarded to deserving applicants who best demonstrate aspirations to further their development.
Scholarships
Scholarships will be in the form of Perisher or Thredbo products and services.
These can include:
! Perisher Season Pass
! Perisher Winter Sports Club Race Training voucher
! Thredbo season pass
! Thredbo Mountain Academy Training Voucher
Athlete Eligibility and Selection Criteria
-‐Athlete must be a NSW resident and attend a NSW school.
-‐Athlete must be aged 12 to 18 years at the time of application.
-‐Athlete must have participated in a NSW Interschools event in the year the application is submitted.
-‐Athlete must have a previous Alpine or SX competition history and show aspirations of developing further (minimum 2 years of competition experience in interschools and other SSA and State Alpine or SX
competitions).
-‐Athlete must be a current financial member of SSA and have nominated NSW Snowsports as their state sporting organisation.
-‐Athlete must specifically detail their request for the type of scholarship (as above).

Discipline selection committees of NSW Snowsports will select the successful athletes. The successful Alpine applicants will be announced at the NSW Alpine end of Season Awards night on Saturday 24th Oct.
