•
Choreographer: Jessica Faulkener (BCI3) Dancers: Angela Bendall, Nikki Baxter
Is it such a bad thing to dream, to believe your life is a certain way in order to maintain happiness? Is it too much to expect others to humour you, to let you live peacefully in your own world where things may not always be what they seem? Does it make you crazy or just human? If no harm comes of it the where's the fault in playing in the mind's eye .

s. Bitter Restraint (Shibul Kousoku) / Choreographer:
V
Dancers: Elise May (BFA3) Music:Miki Nemoto, Tim Darbyshire, Paul Zivkovich, Richard Causer, Mitchell Mahony, Darren Anderson
composition by Tarin Stewart, B Mus flute composed and performed by Dwayne McKibbon, guitar composed and performed by Jacob Broom hall, vocals composed by Tarin Stewart and Nok Thomrongsat and performed by Nok.
This body of movement relates to the idea of restraint, of wanting yet denying oneself that which the body desires. Our behaviour embodies culture, our western notions of separation between mind and body- between reason and desire. This piece explores instinch.lal desire, the body and finding identity within the shifting landscape of time.
The music, composed using 'surround sound' became a way of exploring the direction of sound and its relationship to bodies in the space. Our collaboration searched for ways of manipulating rhythm and timing, to enhance the audience's experience of time and restraint.

Mother dear, a man has dreams Choreographer: Darren Anderson (BFA3) Music: Moloko - MotherDancers: Jane Wallace, Darren Anderson
A man has dreams of walking with giants, to carve his niche in the edifice of time before the mortar of his zeal has a chance to congeal. The cup is dashed from his lips, the flame is snuffed. He's brought to rack and ruin in his prime. It's quite a bitter pill to take .

Who can say why some people impact on our lives and others just exist in the same space. Why we carry relationships with us even after they're over. Or why some grow stronger while others stay the same. Imprints are created and time passes as we evolve from these chance meetings .
