Study Skills Learning and Teaching

If you plan to make a smooth transition into the rigors of university study, it is highly recommended that you go on a library tour. The SAUA represents students both within the university, on various committees and directly to senior management, but also to the wider community through lobbying of state and federal governments and through representation at and through the National Union of Students. In special circumstances, a student may be judged to have been disadvantaged by the actions of the university. In such cases, the faculty may offer a sponsorship or grant to cover all or part of the student's tuition fees for a specified period. Faculties can request in writing from the Director of Student and Staff Services for remission of the central part of the tuition fee on administrative or scientific grounds.

The faculty can request in writing the managing director, Student and Personnel Services, that the central part of the tuition fee be waived for humanitarian reasons. Applications MUST be submitted no later than 12 months after the date the student withdrew from the course(s). If permanent resident status is obtained after the date of the census, the student will be classified as an international student for the remainder of that semester.
