Prescribed text registration for 2020 — English, English as an Additional
Language, Literature and Drama
Purpose
To inform schools of requirements for registration of prescribed texts for external assessment.
Background
For external assessment in 2020, schools need to register their study of prescribed texts for English, English as an Additional Language and Literature, and prescribed recorded live performances for Drama.
This will assist the QCAA in managing the external assessment marking operation and quality assurance of text requirements for these syllabuses.
Information
Schools need to register their choices using the webform on the QCAA website by Friday, 7 August 2020.
Registration should be completed by a nominated school representative (e.g. principal’s delegate, head of department).
What you need to do
Complete the registration process by:
1. accessing the prescribed text registration webform on the QCAA website
2. completing and submitting the webform for subjects studied by your school’s current Year 12 cohort, including the number of students studying texts for these subjects.
Schools can also provide suggestions for future text lists in this process.
Once the webform is submitted, the school’s nominated representative will receive email confirmation, including a summary of the information provided to the QCAA in the form.
