The Council is empowered to establish committees and to delegate powers to committees or officers of the University. The Student Guild is governed by a Guild Council consisting of the executive bodies (President, General Secretary, Director of Academic Rights, International Director, Director of Women, Director of Wellbeing, Director of Recreation, Director of Indigenous Affairs and Director of Queer Services, campus representatives and specialist representatives (for part-time and external students, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students and postgraduate students).

PRELIMINARY Division 1 - Interpretation
In these rules, “teaching period” means a designated period of weeks during which the program of study and instruction for a unit or award course is completed. For the purposes of these rules and for course requirements, a student's mode of attendance shall be deemed to be: (a) internal, where instruction or supervision in all units in which the student is enrolled for an educational period is provided by attendance at a place designated by the Registrar as university campus; or. b) external, where instruction or guidance in all units for which the student is registered for an educational period is provided in a manner other than by presence on a university campus (for example by making instructional materials available to the student); or (c) multimodal, where instruction in some but not all units occurs in the internal mode. In the case of international students, the student must also meet all requirements for enrollment or study at the university. (a) any requirements regarding the type or method of presence;.
ADMISSION 4. Application for admission
ENROLMENT
In the case of a student enrolled in an award course, the student's enrollment program must also comply with the course requirements. Subject to the requirements of this section, a student may add a unit to his program of enrollment during a term of study if - (a) the unit is added by the date of addition published in accordance with Schedule 1; or b) where the student proposes to add a unit after the date of addition published in accordance with schedule 1 -. i) the student pays the administrative fee specified in Annex 2; and. ii) the unit coordinator agrees to add the unit; and (iii) the registrar is satisfied that the student has demonstrated that exceptional circumstances exist for adding the unit. The Registrar may not accept the program for the enrollment of a student in any of the following circumstances -. a) the student has not enrolled in accordance with his offer of admission, including, where indicated, major field of study, type of attendance, method of attendance and location of study;.
The Registrar may change a registration programme, after consultation with the course coordinator, if any of the following conditions exist -. a) the student did not comply with the requirements of rule 13;.
FEES
Deadlines for completion of an award course The university's academic board must specify deadlines for completion of an award course and may set different deadlines for different categories of courses. The Registrar must set the date for submission of the Commonwealth Aid Form for each academic term. Commonwealth-supported student means a student who is liable to pay a tuition fee for a unit or units of an award course in accordance with the HES Act.

UNSATISFACTORY ACADEMIC PERFORMANCE
In this rule, "central examination period" means a period of at least 2 weeks at the end of each semester or other term of study fixed for the administration of examinations. Pending the outcome of a report or complaint, the registrar may allow a student to attend classes or complete exams.
MISCELLANEOUS
Domestic postgraduate tuition fees are determined at unit level taking into account the unit's major subject and level of study. International student tuition fees are determined at unit level taking into account the unit's major and level of study. Complaints should be directed to the Privacy Liaison Officer or referred to that officer if received from another area of the University.
In other cases, the complaint may be forwarded to the head of the organizational unit responsible for the personal data to which the complaint relates.

RESEARCH THEMES
Research in the faculty is closely linked to research in the faculties through the i-water initiative of the Institute for Sustainable Resources. The aim of this program is to concentrate research efforts in the freight and logistics field, with an emphasis on multimodal transport systems. This research contributes to better practice in the specific areas of housing, urban planning, international.
Much of the research in this area is supported by the Australian Institute of Housing and Urban Research, the Construction Innovation CRC and the Construction Industry Institute of Australia.
Notes for BEE undergraduate courses Course progression
Bachelor of Engineering (Aerospace Avionics) students are required to complete 10 days of specialist experience in the aerospace industry. A Bachelor of Architecture student must be engaged in approved employment for at least 72 recognized weeks within the last 2-3 years of the course (ADB796 Practical Experience B). Students enrolled in the flexible full-time course structure must be involved in approved work for at least 48 recognized weeks within the first 3 years of the course (ADB795 Practical Experience A).
All students enroll in ADB796 Practice Experience B in the second semester of the final year of the course.

Approved employment during leave of absence is accepted (a) in ADB795 up to a maximum of 24 recognized weeks and (b) in ADB796 after completion of at least one semester of the fourth year and prior approval of the course coordinator up to a maximum of 36 recognized weeks.
