The Glorious Howard Years
The Glorious Howard Years
“Johnathon Winston Howard, A man of great strength and leadership, and an inspiration for an entire generation. But to many Australians, Howard remains a man of mystery. Just exactly who is this incredible man?”
Already being hailed by critics as the best propaganda film since A Communist Your Wife May Be Sleeping with One, The Glorious Howard Years examines the turbulent ten years of our incredible commander’s leadership.
A must-see for any patriotic Australian, the film uses archival material and interviews with experts, to critically analyze the countless achievements of our glorious Prime Minister.
Topics presented include:
• The threat of imminent communist invasion
• Terrorist attacks by ethnics of communist descent
• The threat of multiculturalism and the superiority of the White race
• The liberation of Iraq and Afghanistan from communism
• Intergalactic diplomacy and liberation
This is the definitive film, on everything that makes Australia special. One day, when the war is over, somewhere in outerspace, Australians of the 21st century will look back at this amazing film, and appreciate all that John Winston Howard has done for them.
So wait no longer, bring the kids, the beer and the BBQ, and experience this incredible cultural phenomenon firsthand.

1973
1973 tells the story of one woman’s choice to protect her family at the cost of her beliefs. September 11, 1973 was the day democracy died in Chile when a military coup d’état led by General Augusto Pinochet, caused an intervention to remove President Salvador Allende from power. This documentary explores the political unrest of the nation at that time and the story of a woman and the events that unfold around her. She fights through her internal conflict and the political turmoil that surrounds Chile. Her personal story is a powerful one that observes her life two weeks prior to September 11, and how circumstances arose that saved her life time and time again.
This film explores how she gave up on her political views to protect the lives of her children. Furthermore, we follow the obstacles she faced for her socialist views, and the paths of the Chilean people she crosses along the way. These people help her to leave her past behind and survive the frightening times of what some have called the bloodiest coup d’état to ever have taken place in Latin America.

TEASE!
A time capsule of burlesque in the ‘naughties’. The very beautiful Lola the Vamp and a selection of her students give intriguing insight into this sensual artforms revival. Revealing what goes on behind the red velvet curtain in a world dominated by pasties, parody and the art of the tease.

A Sense Of History
Fredrik Horn Akselsen travels from Tønsberg, Norway to Brisbane, Australia. In Brisbane he attempts to find out what kind of history Brisbane has and how it is reflected in the high rises of the CBD. The film will take a darkly comical and personal view of the historical undermining in Brisbane and will seek to explore what history means in a constantly changing city.

RETURN TO MUSSOORIE
Return to Mussoorie is a window into the world of a migrant community and migrant family – except that in this film the westerners are the foreigners. Enriched with never-before-screened archival footage from the 1940s showing life in a missionary community in the Himalayan hill station of Mussoorie; this documentary tells the personal story of my family. A family that has roots all over the world, but found a home 7000ft up in the steep foothills of the Himalayas. The experiences of my great-grandparents, grandparents and parents span over almost a century of Indian history and bridge profound boundaries between utterly different peoples, languages, cultures, and religions. This documentary explores the reasons they moved from America to India, why they stayed, and for those that left, why they still continue to return to Mussoorie.
Special thanks in this film go to Mr. Wayne D. Wardwell Jr, a friend of the family who provided the archival footage taken by himself and his father in Mussoorie between 1940 and 1946.

HOW TO RECOGNISE YOUR EXISTENCE IN FIVE EASY STEPS
Have you ever doubted your own existence?
No. Of course you wouldn’t have, you mindless sheep. But I’ll tell you now, you’re really missing out. Seriously.
You see, this doubt is something that all kinds of people are forced to deal with every day. It leaves them feeling empty, lonely, depressed and anxious. Well, never fear. Beacuse the doctor is in... and have I got the prescription for you?
Take one of these films and call me in the morning.
The joy of existence. The threat of nihilism. The question of solipsism. It’s all in here. We sum up in ten minutes what Satre couldn’t in an entire life time.
So sit back and enjoy the non-stop thrill ride of philosophical contemplation.
With thanks to QUT, The Brisbane Powerhouse Museum, The Metro Arts Theatre and everyone who helped out with the production of the film.

DETOUR
Detour is a documentary about Thomas from Norway, and his experiences with his Aussie mates and how friendships have evolved. It explores how circumstances, time and maturity can change relationships.
Our film opens with Thomas and his friends moving out of their share accommodation.
They have bonded and partied through good times and bad. Drugs, alcohol, women and men were aplenty … good times.
Thomas is going back to Norway for good in a few months. Has he accomplished the goals he had when he got here? Since moving out from his mates and gaining some distance and perspective, Thomas now feels that the partying was too excessive and there were many weeks where goals weren’t accomplished, preventing other pursuits.
Our film explores mateship between cultures and between men, through self- reflection. What happens when some friends mature and move forward with their lives and others are trapped in an exaggerated memory of what was?
