The development of the main generalizations of chemical science, beginning with a review of elementary chemical physics, continuing through a systematic study of inorganic (and some common organic) substances, and including a simple physicochemical study of matter in dissolved matter. and colloidal states. Four hours per week, in experimental work concerned with the study of the properties of the most common inorganic roots and the application of this study to simple qualitative analyses. Students are required to equip themselves with apparatus in accordance with the list placed in the Laboratory.

Six hours per week, dealing with qualitative and quantitative analysis (both volumetric and gravimetric), involving the examination of alloys and mixtures containing compounds of the most common metals and roots, and including experiments in elementary Organic and Physical Chemistry . Bayliss' Principles of General Physiology as a basis and relevant literature in journals will be studied and form the basis of further examination if required. DIPLOMA OF ANALYTICAL CHEMISTRY
