Sign in (bench near holding bay), take bag to green room and prepare for show
COMMUNICATIONS
Hand out all Wireless Clear Comms Packs to the necessary crew (see Communications Allocation document for further information).
Ensure all wireless packs and headsets are functional – talking and listening.
Ensure all wired packs and headsets are functional – talking and listening.
Hand out God mics [located in the dock, near LX tank, RX drawer]
a. Handheld RX microphone 1 -> PSM (Emma Healy) b. Handheld RX microphone 2 -> DSM (Persia Littlewood)
The wireless packs and headsets are located to the rear of the DT office, in the dock.
The wired packs and headsets are already at the operator stations in the bio box.
The DSM (Persia Littlewood) and GC (Lachlan Paterson, Catherine
McGuiness) may assist in this process if available.
POWER ON PROCEDURE
Procedure must follow signal flow: [input -> control -> output]
Begin by informing Sound Operator to begin first phase of power on procedure
BIO BOX
1. Mac Mini [primary]
a. Ensure Dante Virtual Sound Card is running (it will say stop if it is running, start if it is not. In case of the latter, press start to run).
b. Ensure Dante Controller is running. Once all bio box equipment is powered on, only green ticks should appear along the
transmitter/receiver lines.
c. Ensure ethernet connection is correct (within Network Preferences) and shows an IP Address of: 192.168.1.127.
d. Open show file in Qlab 4:
Desktop -> Show Files -> 2019_EDANCE_SND_ShowFile_V4 ->
2019_EDANCE_SND_ShowFile_V4.qlab4.
2. iMac [secondary]
a. Ensure Dante Virtual Sound Card is running (it will say stop if it is running, start if it is not. In case of the latter, press start to run).
b. Ensure Dante Controller is running. Once all bio box equipment is powered on, only green ticks should appear along the

Power on PS corner equipment (Clear Comms FreeSpeak II Wireless Rack and Shure ULXD 2x RX Receiver) via the master power switch for the station at the top right corner.
Check with Sound Operator that the first phase of power on has been completed, if so, inform Sound Operator to begin secondary phase of the power on procedure

See Duty Technician (either Andrew Earle or James Millis) for power on of FOH speakers via amp room.

The individual system pieces may not need powering on as there is a master power switch. However, please be aware that they may need individual powering.
Note that powering on the PS Corner Station may need to be done first if any crew need communications immediately.

Please note:
The Sound Operator (Lina Hsu) is responsible for sound check. However, it is the responsibility of the Head of Sound to coordinate the sound check process.
These are referred to as God Mic 1 and God Mic 2 by the DSM (Persia Littlewood).
OSC TESTING
Test that the Mac Mini (primary system) sends OSC cues correctly to the iMac (secondary system)
Test that Qlab is firing OSC cues correctly to the LX Gio [consult with Head Lighting (Ryan Sweet) and Lighting Operator (Samuel Seagrott) when they are ready to test this]
Testing of OSC cues will be completed by the Sound Operator (Lina Hsu), however will be coordinated by the Head of Sound.
Action any notes from the prior performance as necessary
Check with the Sound Operator (Lina Hsu) that they are ready to go for the top of show
ARCHIVAL ASSISTANCE

COMMUNICATIONS Retrieve God Mics
a. Ensure the microphones are not on low battery, if so, replace them.
b. Make sure they are turned off before putting them away.
Retrieve all Wireless Clear Comms Packs from the necessary crew and place the packs on charge and hang up the headsets.
ONLY RETRIEVE THE PACKS ONCE THE REST OF THE POWER DOWN
PROCEDURE IS COMPLETE AND THE CREW MEMBER IS FINISHED WITH THE PACK.
Spare batteries are located in the dock, behind the DT office, in the consumable’s cabinet.
Please note that some crew members will bring the packs back themselves, and GC (Lachlan Paterson) will often help to retrieve the packs.

Note any issues that arose during the performance that require action in the hour call of the next performance.

Retrieve bag from green room, sign out and see PSM (Emma Healy) for any further information for the next performance.

Step: Go on iMac Cue 2 > Turn the output section back “ON” individually for both primary &
secondary systems
> God Mic Test: Turn RX 1 ON & RX 2 “ON” (see Figure 9)
> OSC cue test with LX OP
Step: On QLab click LX | Cue 104 > Go to “Setting” > Click “Send” > Check with LX OP if it fires
Post Show
> Save & store on the console
Step: Click “Store” button on the desk > “Store” > Click “SET UP” on the screen > “SAVE & LOAD” > Click “EDANCE 19” > Save
> Save QLab file
> Turn off FBSLOT & Rio
> Confirmation from Head of SND to turn both system (Primary & Secondary) to SLEEP MODE
> Turn off the COSOLE
> Cover the console
