SUNBURY LITTLE ATHLETICS MEETING 7th August, 2013

OPENED: 1951hrs

PRESENT: Mark Doherty, Jared Watson, David Theis, Steve Rodwell, Lyall Clewer, Lou Stepanoski, Rhonda Cherriman, Carolyn Evans, Emma Lynch,

APOLOGIES: Mark Chatman, Deb Watson, MINUTES OF PREVIOUS MEETING:

Minutes from meeting held in July.

Amend: Lyall Clewer present and Carolyn Evans apology.

BUSINESS ARISING:

Fee structure for season 2013/2014 Increase by $10

-facilities -line paint -medals/trophies -equipment matinence -NMR fee

Honour boards in club rooms- Deb to get quotes SECRETARY’S REPORT

Top centre award list circulated Sunbury No 51

Officials course 25thAug for chief of officials and others interested in becoming an official

Into to coaching course, is $105:- Mark to contact coaches in regards to date and if able to attend, club to pay for course.

Neil needs 2012/2013 annual report for our incorporated paperwork.

Update WWC folder for 2013/2014 season

Application’s for reserve usage for the season and pre-season training were sent to Hume city council.

Expense reimbursement form and payment forms given distributed.

Starting cap invoice, Bank statement, Utilities bill and Tax invoice for ground amenities given to Rhonda to give to Senerath.

SAFETY AND RISKS

Track lane 1 needs to be top dressed to even surface out.

Permanently fixing high jump mats was discussed Steve Rodwell to send plan and cost to Mark Doherty.

No request for grant for centerfest reimbursement sent to NMR.

All relevant committee members names to be sent to NMR All Centres Team manager information to be sent to Gwen Kilmore did not attend centerfest.

Congratulations to Carol Timmins

Congratulations to Hume, Keilor, PRC and Whittlesea city all in the top 10 centres

Region to send out roles for chief of officials, for region track and field events this season to president.

Emails to be double checked when doing registrations this year

Boundary locations to be checked, school locations regarding promotions

Region wants to purchase a new trailer to enable easier towing for all clubs.

McDonalds equipment grant Craigieburn only application $1000 McDonalds grant is part of top centre requirements.

EQUIPMENT MANAGER

Scott and Steve going to try equipment cart this month, with possibility of purchasing FUNDRAISING

? ALDI BBQ

Sponsorship categories finalised, instead of signage on the fences sponsors to get feather banner 75cm w -314cm tall to be put out on competition days.

Lou to send out flyers to committee members, good luck happy sponsor hunting.

TEAM MANAGER

Lou was team manager for State cross country.

7 athletes competed, we had a couple of top 10 finishes, and all had a great time.

Next time need to take a gazebo and teardrop.

Approval for modem and broadband: David has found a better offer Kogan $15.99 month and Modem $29

Lyall spoke to LAV regarding new technology for deaf children in regards to starting guns. LAV trying to organise a committee to held disabled children.

Council has begun work on the long up pits Marketing drive:

Sunbury square was fully booked

Flyers are being distributed to sporting clubs and primary schools

Mc Donalds contacted regarding a table on the 7thof September to promote club and collect registrations Steve has emailed local real estate agent regarding signage for Sunbury entrances

Macedon ranges have had a challenge between each other; Sunbury has been invited to join in.
