1 OPENING, WELCOME

2 DECLARATIONS OF INTEREST

Lloyd Harwood declared an interest in the Arts Council Nelson Application and Deborah Rhodes delcared a interest in the Golden Bay Arts Council Application and both agreed they would not be present while these applications were discussed.

3 CONFIRMATION OF MINUTES Moved Cr Walker/Member Harwood CSCC20-04-1

That the minutes of the Tasman Creative Communities Subcommittee meeting held on Tuesday, 26 November 2019, be confirmed as a true and correct record of the meeting.

5 REPORTS

5.1 Consideration of 10 March 2020 Applications

Lani Evans, Community Partnerships Coordinator took the report as read.

Ms Evans noted that five applications have been withdrawn from Soroptimists International – Waimea, Combined Christian Churches of Motueka (Motueka Baptist Church),The Cobb Valley

(Takaka) Artist Collective, Golden Bay Community Arts Council and TOTS Film Festival.

Donna McLeod left the meeting 10.15 am.

Donna McLeod returned to the meeting 10.35 am.

The Subcommittee went through each application and made the following comments:

Voice Collective Nelson

The Subcommittee considered that the amount of $1,060 was appropriate.

Nelson Civic Choir Incorporated

The Subcommittee considered that the amount of $474.90 was appropriate.

Loren Pasquier

The Subcommittee considered that the amount of $2,598.77 was appropriate.

Nelson Fringe Arts Charitable Trust

The Subcommittee considered that the amount of $2,000 was appropriate.

Soroptimists International – Waimea Application withdrawn.

Combined Christian Churches of Motueka (Motueka Baptist Church) Application withdrawn.

Gateway – The Shed

The Subcommittee considered that the amount of $600 was appropriate.

InsideOut Circus and Physical Theatre

The Subcommittee considered that the amount of $1,000 was appropriate.

Paul Johnson - Motueka Youth Worker - Mot Youth Acre

The Subcommittee considered that the amount of $1,800 was appropriate.

Nelson Motueka Dance Competition Society

The Subcommittee considered that the amount of $1,275 was appropriate.

History Brought to life

The Subcommittee considered that the amount of $500 was appropriate.

The Nature Connection

The Subcommittee considered that the application should be declined as it does not meet criteria to receive funding

Murchison Sport, Recreation and Cultural Centre

The Subcommittee considered that the amount of $1,240 was appropriate.

Golden Bay Community Arts Council

Deborah Rhodes left the meeting while this application was discussed.

The Subcommittee considered that the amount of $2,000 was appropriate.

The Cobb Valley (Takaka) Artist Collective Application withdrawn.

Golden Bay Community Arts Council Application withdrawn.

Whenua Iti Outdoors

The Subcommittee considered that the amount of $1,100 was appropriate.

Arts Council Nelson Inc.

Lloyd Harwood left the meeting while this application was discussed.

The Subcommittee considered that the amount of $800 was appropriate.
