SCHOOL OF NURSING

Bachelor of Nursing Application Assessment Process

2020 intake

Please refer to the 2020 selected entry due dates for the closing date of online BN applications for the 2020 BN intake (starting February). Due to high demand, and as we do not have a midyear intake, we recommend early application. Applications meeting the entry requirements, but received after the due date may be accepted if places are still available.

Applications will be assessed on an ongoing basis upon receipt of ALL required documentation. When your application has been assessed, normally within 2 to 4 weeks, you will receive email notification of the outcome, which will be:

1. Unconditional Offer – you have been selected to enter the programme and offered a place;

2. Conditional Offer – we have reserved a place for you. This may be conditional on one or more, including, but not limited to the following: meeting UE requirements; gaining at least 14 NCEA level 3 Science (Biology, Chemistry or Physics) credits; successful completion of current study; providing IELTS evidence; which will be stipulated in the letter;

3. Waitlisted – you may be offered a place if a place becomes available;

4. Declined – you were unsuccessful in your application to the programme.

After UE results have been released and processed (usually around mid-January), we endeavour to advise all waitlisted applicants of any progress followed by updates and/or advice of the final outcome.

NB: As places are limited on the Auckland campus we encourage you to advise us if you would also like to be considered for either the Manawatu or Wellington Campus if you are waitlisted for the Auckland campus.
