Overview and Prospect of the Degree
Department of Disaster and Human Security Management (DHSM), establish department of BUP under Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences (FASS), offers a non-profit academic outfit and research for encouraging, and promotion of multi-disciplinary basic and action research aimed at burgeoning and sharing the comprehensive knowledge on human security of the disaster affected people in a global order. It gives special emphasis on women, men, children, disabled, indigenous communities, minorities, disadvantaged and destitute etc. of the developing world including Bangladesh. The department also ventilates research activities, assists in formulating policy and planning in disaster field and assesses its implementation in a more meaningful way.

ELIGIBILITY FOR ADMISSION.
The minimum requirement to apply for admission in this program is a Bachelor Degree or its equivalent in any field. Each candidate must have obtained 2ndDivision/Class or GPA/CGPA-2.75 in any public Examination to be eligible.

Viva Voce : 12&13 Jan 2018
Publication of Final Result : 15 Jan 2018
Admission : 16 Jan to 31 Jan 2018
Class Commences : 02 Feb 2018
Class Schedule : Friday & Saturday (Day time)
NOTES ON ELIGIBILITY:
For qualifications/degrees other than those mentioned, equivalence will be determined by Equivalence Committee of BUP.
Eligible applicants will have to appear Written Admission Test of 100 marks.
List of eligible candidates for written test and schedule of viva-voce/interview will be published in website and campus notice board
APPLICATION PROCEDURE.
Applicant will deposit Taka 1000.00 (One Thousand only), Account name: DDHSM, BUP, Account Number: 0028-0210007542, Trust Bank, Mirpur Branch.
Applicant will fulfill application form & admit card after downloading from BUP website.
Applicant will preserve Bank money receipt and will bring in Exam Hall.
Admit card will provide after submitting the application form and documents from DHSM office.
Applicant will submit the following attested documents in DHSM office with application form in office time.
Applicant will bring all academic original certificates, transcripts, admit card, testimonial, bank receipt, National ID in interview board.
Documents to be carried During Viva-Voce. Candidates need to bring the following documents (both original and attested photocopies) during viva-voce, failure of which will be considered as unfit for interview.

8 Copies of attested passport size colored photographs (Name and Roll Number written at the back)
SSC/equivalent marks sheet
HSC/equivalent marks sheet
Graduation marks sheet
Masters marks sheet (if any)
Ward certificate (children of freedom fighter, military personnel, tribal and sitting members of BUP governing bodies)
Admit Card
National ID Card (Photocopy)
Income certificate of fathers or own ACADEMIC FEES (SEMESTER WISE).

MISC INSTRUCTION.
Admission test will be MCQ questions.
Final selection of all candidates will be made on the basis of merit with their combined marks in the written admission test for 100 marks and interview / viva-voce for 25 marks.
The framework syllabus for written admission test is as follow:
- General Knowledge- Bangladesh related 25 marks and Subject related 25 marks.
- English Language and Communication 25 marks.
Incorrect information of the candidate in the Application Form will result into cancellation of admission eligibility
No Calculator, Mobile Phone and electronic devices will be allowed in examination hall.
The university authority reserves the right to cancel/modify/change any information /instructions given in this advertisement if necessary.
