Application and Admission to the Certificate in Interior Design program
Interested applicants for the Certificate in Interior Design need to do the following:
o Fill out an application form
o Prepare a ‘Statement of Intent’ not exceeding 500 words.
The statement of intent should cover (but may not be limited to) the following points Brief background about the candidate
Why s/he intends to pursue this program
What s/he intends to achieve through this program and after graduation.
The statement should be typed in A4 sheet/s with a top and bottom margin of 1” and left and right margins of ¾”.
The candidate’s name should be at the top left-hand side followed by the statement leaving 2 spaces in between.
The statement should be in Arial, font size 12, with 1.5 spacing between lines.
o Submit both the filled-out application form and the statement of intent to the School of Design office on the 9th level of Building no. 4, BRAC University
o On acceptance of the “Statement of Intent”, the candidate will be asked to come for an interview. The interview will assess the candidate’s intent and motivation along with his/her creative abilities.
o If successful, the candidate will be asked to register with the admissions office with payment of fees.
Classes start on 12 May, 2019.
Applications open on 1 March, 2019 and will close on 11 May, 2019 at the end of the workday.
