ISSUE 05 JULY- SEPTEMBER
Centre for Peace and Justice is pleased to publish the fifth issue of the newsletter, highlighting the events, day celebrations, blogs, and op-eds organised and published by CPJ from July to September. We have had numerous seminars, online discussions, webinars, and workshops throughout these months, while also successfully celebrating the International Day of Peace in addition to CPJ's usual operations.
In partnership with CPJ, the Centre for Genocide Studies, University of Dhaka and ActionAid Bangladesh organised a roundtable discussion on “Rohingya Influx: Uncertainties at Hope”. Moreover, CPJ also organized a workshop along with the International Commission of Jurists and Naripokkho on
“Update on Accountability for Rohingya in Post-Coup Era Myanmar.”
CPJ welcomes more opportunities to collaborate with community-based organisations and educational institutions to further support the issues on social justice and world peace.
On the occasion of International Day of Peace, CPJ, and Peace Café, Asian University for Women and WPC, JKKNIU jointly organised various online campaigns with the theme “End racism. Build peace.” In today’s troubled world, it is important to remind ourselves that we can change our environment and create a better future for us and future generations. This can only happen through a renewed faith in the connected and collective effort.
Kind Regards,
