I would like to express my deepest appreciation to my supervisor, Saikat Biswas, Associate Professor, Department of Mechanical Engineering, Sonargaon University, Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering Dhaka, Bangladesh, for his proper guidance, inspiration, suggestions, all kinds of support, to create adequate facilities and supervision to carry out and complete the work on time. Mustafa Hossain, Head, Department of Mechanical Engineering, Sonargaon University, Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering, Dhaka,. I would also like to express my sincere gratitude to Bangladesh to the Vice Chancellor of Sonargaon University, Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering for financial support during the research period for allowing me to use all related laboratories and all kinds of advice.

The kinetic energy of the moving vehicles on the speed breaker can be converted into mechanical energy of the shaft using a rack and pinion mechanism. Then this mechanical energy can be converted into electrical energy using a generator or dynamo, which can be stored using a battery. This energy saved during the day can be used to light the street lamps at night.

Therefore, by using this arrangement, we can save a large amount of energy that can be used to meet our future needs. Lo = free length of the spring m = number of gear teeth n = number of revolutions.

Historical Background

Nikola Tesla pioneered the generation, transmission, and use of alternating current (AC) electricity in the late 19th century, which could be transmitted over much greater distances than direct current. The first production of electricity was carried out using Faraday's dynamo in the late 19th century. Standard conventional fossil fuels are the key sources of electricity generation, but there are fears that these conventional fossil fuels will eventually be exhausted in the next few decades.

Therefore, it has become mandatory for us to look for some new alternative sources of energy generation. This kinetic energy that is already wasted can therefore be used to produce power using a special scheme called. The purpose of installing speed breakers was to reduce speeds not only on private property but also on public streets.

When the driver sees the speed limiter, he is obliged to reduce his speed. When it comes to cons, speed bumps can damage cars if the driver drives fast. In addition, it can also cause discomfort to the people on board and is the cause of chronic back pain.

Speed Breaker as a Source of Renewable Energy

This new tool can either act as a true speed bump or remain flat to avoid being noticed by motorists. Researchers found that four ramps could produce enough electrical current to light a road for a mile. This is a huge amount when it comes to comparing this energy source which, when installed in a location with constant traffic, will never depend on any other external source.

  • Roller-type Mechanism
  • Rack-pinion type

Figure 4, shows the main steps of crankshaft design to transform the mechanical energy into electricity [9]. A roller is inserted between a speed breaker and some kind of grip is provided on the speed bumper so that when a vehicle drives over the speed breaker, it turns the roller. Using Bernoulli's principle, the fluid inside the piston compresses and flows inside an external pipe at increased velocity.

This fluid velocity is converted by the hydraulic turbine (1) into mechanical energy and then into electricity. 3 High setup cost Low setup cost Moderate setup cost 4 Poor efficiency Good efficiency Better efficiency 5 May cause a collision.

Energies involved in this method

Energy possessed by a body due to its motion is called kinetic energy. The kinetic energy of an object is directly proportional to the square of its speed. Mechanical energy is the energy associated with both the motion and position of an object.

Objects possess mechanical energy when they are in motion or if they are in a zero potential energy position. The energy obtained by the objects on which work is done is known as mechanical energy. When energy is stored in charged particles that are in an electric field, this energy is known as electrical energy.

The regions or areas that form an envelope around these charged particles are called electric fields. Electric fields are the result of charged particles and they exert a force on other charged particles causing them to move in the electric field. The basic energy conversion that takes place is initially from kinetic energy to mechanical energy and.

Toothed Power Transmission Bearing Support for Rotating Shaft Spur Gear A gear is a rotating element Shaft support for rotating engine rack and pinion. Mild steel is the most commonly used steel. It is used in industry as well as in various daily objects that we use. Almost 90% of the world's steel products are made of mild steel because it is the cheapest form of steel.

Mild steel is the most commonly used steel, which is not brittle and cheap. Chain drive is often used for power transmission where the shafts are separated by greater distances than those for which gears are practical. In such cases, the gears take the place of the gears and drive each other by means of a chain that passes over the teeth of the gears.

Roller chain or bush roller chain is the type of chain drive most commonly used for the transmission of mechanical power on many types of household, industrial and agricultural machinery, including conveyors, wire and pipe drawing machines, printing presses, automobiles, motorcycles and bicycles. It is a simple, reliable and efficient means of power transmission through Hans Retold is credited with inventing the roller chain in 1880, sketches by Leonardo ad Vinci in the 16th century show a chain with a roller bearing. It is a profiled wheel with teeth that can engage a chain or other perforated material.

A ball bearing is a type of rolling element that uses balls to maintain separation between the bearing races. A gear is a rotating element with teeth that mesh with another element with teeth to transmit torque. It is a rotating element used for transferring force from one element to another element.

The shaft is mounted on bearings to ensure free rotation of the shaft around its own axis [15]. A rack and pinion consists of a pair of gears that convert alternating motion into rotary motion or vice versa. The primary or main function of the flywheel is to reduce speed fluctuations.

The spring is an element that possesses elasticity and its function is to expand and contract to regain its original shape when loaded or unloaded.

Conclusion & future scope

Conclusion

In the days to come, this will be of great help to the world, as it will save a lot of power plant electricity that is wasted in lighting street lights. In the days to come, this will be a great boon to the world as it will save a lot of power plant electricity that is wasted on lighting street lights. Since conventional resources are being depleted very quickly, it is time to think about alternative resources.

So, this idea not only provides an alternative, but also adds to the country's economy.

Future scope

In this project, we are discovering a technology to generate electricity from speed bumps, in which the system used is reliable and this technique will help to conserve our natural resources.
