What is the Concern?
It is a great pleasure to announce that the Faculty of Electrical and Electronic Engineering (EEE), Khulna University of Engineering & Technology (KUET), Bangladesh is going to organize the International Conference on Electrical, Information and Communication Technology (EICT 2013). This conference is an international forum for the state‐of‐the‐art research in electrical, electronics, information and communication technology. It will also serve to foster communication among researchers and practitioners working in a wide variety of scientific areas with a common interest in improving technology. We are committed and determined to maintain the quality of EICT. All papers will be blindly peer‐reviewed by reputed researchers. The EICT has local and international advisory committee consisting of renowned research‐based personalities. About Faculty of EEE, KUET
This Faculty is one of the major Faculties in KUET. It comprises Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering (EEE), Department of Computer Science and Engineering (CSE), Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering (ECE), and Department of Biomedical Engineering (BME). The Faculty is proud of its rich engineering heritage in this University and in Bangladesh. Over the years, Faculty of EEE has made great stride in teaching, research, services, and continues to attract the best talents in Faculty members, researchers, and students from Bangladesh and abroad adding to our vibrancy and diversity.
Each year, approximately from 5000 superlative admission examinees, who obviously met the requirement of specified excellent academic background, only top notch 240 students are selected to pursue their Bachelor in Science (B.Sc.) Degree from this Faculty.
The Faculty offers exciting opportunities for students to embark on a variety of learning pathways, each with a global perspective, complemented by an Asian focus. The goal is to nurture Engineer‐Leaders for the globalised economy of the 21st century. Aim of the Faculty is to develop the ability of students to live flexibly and aggressively in our rapidly changing society as well as to foster future scientists and engineers to advance our modern way of life. It is the mission to develop professionals with a global perspective who would take an active role in the progress internationally. Undergraduate curriculum is designed to develop creativity and leadership qualities, while enabling the students to build up expertise in their chosen branch of Engineering. Graduate students can look forward to being immersed in a vibrant research‐intensive environment in any of the Departments under the Faculty as they pursue a higher degree leading to a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) or Master of Science (M.Sc.). They are closely mentored by the connoisseur Faculty Members.

Similar previous activities of this Faculty
Previously, Faculty of EEE, KUET successfully organized similar international conferences that aggrandized this university and our country as well. Those are listed bellow‐
On 24‐27 Dec. 2008, the Faculty of EEE organized 11th International Conference on Computer and Information Technology (ICCIT). We had participants from different countries.
On 3‐5 Dec. 2010, the IEEE student branch KUET, which is an organization within EEE Faculty, organized Student professional awareness conference (SPAC) in collaboration with Microsoft Corporation and IEEE. It is a renowned international conference that has been being organized all around the world for more than 30 years. In Bangladesh, KUET organized SPAC for the first time. All the events were very successful and praised by the participants in home and abroad.

The Faculty invites you to become a major sponsor for upcoming EICT‐2013 conference to promote the research activities in the field of Electrical and Electronic Technology. The main source of funding for the conference is from corporate sponsors, such as you. The EICT will receive no governmental funds and it is completely non‐
profitable. The funds provided by the sponsors will be used for invited/distinguished guests and to prepare and serve the conference kits, pads, proceedings along with the breakfast, lunch and dinner etc.
