Independent University, Bangladesh (IUB), one of the leading private universities in the country, invites applications for the following position under the Office of the Registrar.

Registration Officer, Office of the Registrar Requirements:

• MBA/Master’s degree with Four year’s Bachelor’s degree and preferably in relevant field from a recognized University.

• Minimum 3 (three) years of experience in university administration with specific exposure to registration procedure with the both undergraduate and graduate levels

• Computer literacy and good communication skills in English.

• Multi-tasking skills.

• Ability to work effectively in a team.

• Ability to work well under strict deadlines.

• No degree with third class will be eligible.

• Candidates may be asked to appear for technical written/practical exams and oral interviews. Preference may be given to those who demonstrate superior academic records, high scores on IUB exams.

• Age Maximum 35 Years.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist the Deputy Registrar and the Registrar with the preparation and issuance of diplomas and transcripts for the both undergraduate and graduate programs of the University.

• Assist the Deputy Registrar with enrollment counts faculty load studies, student ranking lists and special studies and statistical analysis

• Distribution of class rooms and preparation of course calendar/class schedules for every semester

• Assist the senior colleagues in the registration and classification of students including add/drop procedures

• Interpretation of academic regulations to students and guardians

• Assist the Deputy Registrar and the Registrar in recommending organization changes, policy and procedures of the Office of the Registrar

• Assist the Deputy Registrar and the Registrar in planning in-service training program for the Office of the Registrar

• Liaison with intra-university offices whenever necessary

• Preparing and dispatching documents and filing and safeguarding them etc.
