Independent University, Bangladesh (IUB) is hiring experience and passionate Developers in four different positions to Facilitate the UMS (University Management System) development along with dynamic Website Projects to Upgrade and Automate the Current Systems.

The four positions are:

1 Software Architect (Full-time/Part-time Contractual) 2 Full-stack developer Contractual

The job descriptions for the four positions are given below:

Software Architect

IUB is looking for experienced Software Architect to join the team. You will work on designing our product and manage software developers through the coding process. You will also work with the advisory board and project manager to ensure technology and delivery timeline to drive the development process forward.

➢ Job Responsibilities

Pitch software design proposals to advisory board for approval.

Lead the software development life cycle (SDLC).

Analyze requirement and user research to make data-driven decisions. Collaborate with coworkers to brainstorm new software features.

Write software requirement specification (SRS) documents. Work with the project manager to set and stick to the timeline. Manage software developers through the coding process. Advise and oversee the software testing team.

Present software and features to advisory board before deployment.

Continue to make updates based on user and team feedback.

➢ Educational Requirements:

B.Sc or M.Sc in Computer Science or related Engineering field from any reputed public or private university.

➢ Technical Requirement:

Must be an experience in backend programming language such as Python, Node.js, Java.

Experience in REST API, SOAP API is a must

Good familiarity with front-end framework like react/angular/vue is a must

UI experience in latest front-end technologies (JavaScript libraries, Electron, HTML5, UI MVC frameworks, etc.), and experience with integrating middleware technologies/channels (restful interfaces, streaming interfaces, API, etc.)

Must have hands on experience with frameworks like: Express,Django, Flask, Springboot

Should have experience in cross platform mobile application development with ReactNative, Flutter Should have experience with cloud platforms such as: AWS, etc. Sound knowledge in: PostgreSQL, MySQL, BigQuery, MongoDB etc. Must be proficient with project management tools like: Trello, Jira etc. Must be able to maintain code repositories such as: git

Full-stack developer

IUB is looking for experienced Full-stack developer to join the team. You will work on developing our product, working with architects, product managers and other engineers to ensure we drive the platform forward.

Work closely with other engineers to pioneer and spearhead the software development process Create reusable, scalable, maintainable, and well-tested solutions Mentor and motivate others around you with your passion and expertise

Collaborate with product owners and other engineers on building high-quality features

Capable of owning projects through design, implementation, and deployment Effectively prioritize workload to meet deadlines and work objectives

Write clearly, succinctly, and in a manner that appeals to various audiences Reporting the progress according to the working process

Proficient in modern front-end programming languages (HTML, CSS & JavaScript)

Must have experience with a backend programming language such as Python, Node.js, Java.

Good familiarity with front-end framework like react/angular/vue is a must Experience in REST API, SOAP API is a must

Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git/Bitbucket) is a must.

Experience in engineering practices such as code refactoring, design patterns, design driven development, continuous integration, building highly scalable application, security, and functional programming.

Experience with responsive website development

Able to Implement platforms using a range of open-source CMS tools like MAGENTO, WordPress, Shopify, etc.

Good understanding on MVC framework.

Knowledge on SEO & web optimization Sound experience with MySQL, NoSQL

Understanding of Object-Oriented Programming and Design Pattern

Contractual (2 years). May get changed to a permanent position after 2 years.

Back-End Developer

IUB is looking for experienced Back-End developers to join the team. You will work on developing our product, working with architects, product managers and other engineers to ensure we drive the platform forward.

➢ Job Responsibilities:

Design and implement new features and enhancements using NodeJS.

Design, innovate and solve complex problems inherent in operating a high scale classified platform.

Play a key role in reviewing and approving the work of your peers as part of the software development process.

Interact with product owners, partners, and business stakeholders to understand and develop requirements.

Debugging and Improvement of existing systems.

➢ Educational Requirements:

B.Sc or M.Sc in Computer Science or related Engineering field from any reputed public or private university.

Must have experience with a backend programming language such as Python, Node.js, Java.

Design, code, test and implement according to software design specifications following standard coding styles and practices.

Analyze the requirements and understand the deliverable.

Develop software solutions by studying information needs, systems flow, data usage, and work processes.

Contribute to all phases of the development lifecycle.

Document and demonstrate solutions by developing documentation, flowcharts, layouts, diagrams, charts, code comments and clear code.

Participate in code/ design reviews after investigating current software development projects, seek out new technologies and ideas to add value to projects.

Collaborate with team members and ensure knowledge transfer.

Deliver across the entire app life cycle – concept, design, build, deploy, test, release to live and support.

Front-End Developer

IUB is looking for experienced Front-End developers to join the team. You will work on developing our product, working with architects, product managers and other engineers to ensure we drive the platform forward.
