I have read a lot of materials to gather information about the Bangladesh Pension Fund and the US pension sector for my internship report. I claim that the report submitted by me on "Impact of Technology on HR Functions in Datapath Limited" is unequivocally prepared by me with the help of the HR Director and Supervisor and also by taking the help of the employees of Datapath Limited.
This report is basically based on the impact of technology on the HR functions of Datapath Limited. It is also about how technology creates an impact on the organization's key HR functions. For accurate data, a survey was conducted on this topic among 36 employees of the company to obtain information about the effect of technology on HR functions.

Based on this data, the Human Resources department works on the recruitment and selection process. In this digital era of technology blessing, HR teams are now able to recruit and track data faster and more productively than the department did before.
With the blessing of the Technology HR department of Datapath, 3 steps follow in the Recruitment and Selection process. The first step to recruit the best applicant for the job is to go for the pre-interview exam conducted by Datapath. With the technology, the HR department can easily measure the typing skill of the candidate.
It simplifies the recruitment process, because if the candidate meets the requirements, it is easier to select the candidate for the position. Excel Test: Previously, all organizations used to conduct tests in hard copy, but digitization can easily reduce paperwork. In this way, an organization can easily assess a candidate's basic knowledge of Excel in a short period of time.
They take the exam to know a candidate's analytical knowledge, general knowledge and other basic knowledge related to academic studies. Datapath used to administer these types of exams on paper, but in 2020 they started administering exams online. The website minimizes the time because earlier it was time consuming to take the exam and check the answer scripts but now they can take online exams and the answers will be checked automatically.
Training & Development
IT Training – Information technology training is intended for new employees who have registered with the organization and how to easily operate their desktop or laptop without violating the organization's security policies. Allocation Training - the training provides the basic training of 401(k) retirement planning based on different departments, Excel Training. On the other hand, the organization provides training in the use of the software that Datapath & July Business Services also has. The HR department also provides training on creating IDs, usernames for the credentials, new hiring packages and termination packages, maintaining attendance system and conducting the recruitment procedure as it is also technology-based.
It can be said that all the training is provided to the employees for their own development in their work. When it was the pandemic, the growth rate of the employees was higher than when they started because they were working from home using technology and connecting themselves with July business services with remote control and VPN. To meet the needs of the customers, the organization must design training and learning methods keeping the technology in mind.

The accurate feedback also helps in giving promotions to the employees and also has a calculation of the annual increment. It was challenging to keep track of each and every probationary period for an employee without this technology. The organization also provides the option of working from home, which helps maintain an employee's daily responsibilities.
It is a blessing to the organization that the employee can work and the organization does not need to replace the employee for lack of physical presence in the DataPath office. Workplace Safety and Security Policy: Datapath Limited genuinely cares about the safety and well-being of its employees. The organization makes every effort to keep office equipment in good condition and to ensure that all safety devices are functional.
The Company expressly prohibits staff and visitors from bringing any form of firearm into the office. In this case, to ensure the safety of the employees, Datapath uses the technology by which the organization can track the biometrics of the employees and the organization can also have the attendance record, which helps in reducing the administrative work. Without biometrics or barcode, or ID card scanning, no one is allowed to enter the organization.
Payroll / Compensation
Provident Fund: Employees of Datapath Limited are eligible for Provident Fund from the date of their confirmation as permanent employees in the organization. Gratuity: The organization offers gratuity for the first five years after completion in DataPath Limited. Such as 1 month basic salary for completing each year of service with the last basic salary.
Insurance: Life Insurance for Full-Time Employees is also calculated from the Excel sheet that the director of the human resources department runs. Minimum Tax Benefits: DataPath is legally required to deduct a certain amount from each employee's salary for income tax purposes. Instead, DataPath pays all employees the minimum taxable amount each year to provide them with financial support through income tax.
Since they have a standard number of employees, the HR director could not manage the income tax in a very easy way.

Thus, the graph shows that the advancement of technology reduces the time and resources required to manage the selection. 8.3% Datapath employees disagree that the performance appraisal methods the organization follows are ineffective, but 41.7% agree, 8.3% strongly agree and 36.1 % have neutral thoughts about the statement. 41.7% strongly agree and 55.6% employee agree. With the help of technology, the organization can easily calculate employee salary, leave and overtime in the payroll system.
