Due to the multidisciplinary nature of scientific research, it is often impossible for one pharmaceutical company to control all the different scientific areas in-house. In the US, this has given rise to the rapidly growing field of contract research, where a pharmaceutical company outsources various parts of its research work to other, more specialized companies.
Academia-Industry Alliance towards Research Excellence
4 The local manufacturers' production costs will be increased due to high license costs. 4 The institution and the PI will get the patent for the invention of the product.
Laboratory Facilities at IUB
Plasma Plus+ laboratory at IUB Pharmacy is unique analytical academic research in Bangladesh. As far as we know, Plasma Plus is the only analytical laboratory in Bangladesh with ISO certification. Therefore, obtaining research contracts, subcontracts, subsidies and forming partnerships with pharmaceutical companies will be much easier.
Plasma Plus+Lab at IUB Pharmacy: The pioneering
The main instruments in Plasma Plus+ include Liquid Chromatography Mass Spectroscopy (LC-MS), Gas Chromatography Mass Spectroscopy (GC-MS), Fourier Transform Infrared Spectroscopy (FT-IR) and Atomic Absorption Spectroscopy (AAS). The IUB Plasma Plus+ Laboratory at IUB Pharmacy has the potential to revolutionize pharmaceutical education in Bangladesh, foster meaningful collaboration between academia and industry, and produce pharmacy graduates with the right skills and competencies for the job market and higher education abroad.

This rapid increase in market growth is partially mediated by increased local demand for pharmaceutical products and an increasingly large export market. Local demand for pharmaceutical products has increased significantly due to higher living standards, greater awareness of general public health issues. Furthermore, clinical and hospital pharmacists are in huge demand in the Middle East and in Europe, which has very few pharmacists and those who have successfully trained often prefer to work for industry rather than a healthcare setting.
All these factors have cumulatively greatly increased the demand for pharmaceuticals and pharmacists. As an entrepreneur in the Bangladeshi pharmaceutical sector, I believe that one of the biggest hurdles fresh pharmacy graduates face is the absence of passion for any field of pharmacy. Although the national pharmacy curriculum provides for sufficient breadth of knowledge, we must allow our graduates to specialize in any branch of pharmacy.
I personally believe that a student intending to study pharmaceutical marketing should hone their oral and written communication skills much more than someone intending to work in other areas of pharmacy. Likewise, someone who wants to build a career in quality control and quality assurance should have a solid knowledge of pharmaceutical analysis and analytical chemistry in general.
Pharmacy in Bangladesh: The Prospects and Hurdles Ahead
Another reason for the need for increased specialization is to ensure that students have, or can cover up, deficiencies in basic sciences such as chemistry or biology. By allowing our students to specialize earlier in their student life, they are better prepared for the job market upon graduation. The promotion of this collaboration is symbiotic for both parties, as the academics will be able to obtain the latest trends in pharmaceutical markets while industry professionals will be able to update themselves with the latest developments in the scientific world of their academic peers.
In the developed countries, most industrial attachments/internships extend for at least three months, during which time students are assigned to a specific line of work in the specific office. For example, a student interested in parenteral dosage formulation will only work in the parenteral division of a plant for. It ensures the graduate a well-established knowledge in the specific field and prepares him for the labor market, which is becoming increasingly important in today's competitive environment.
Working in a particular company for three months or more also gives the company enough space to evaluate the student's skills so that he can be considered for a permanent job in the same company after graduation. Lately, “Model Pharmacy” has been a key word in the healthcare sector of Bangladesh.
Career Tracks in Pharmacy: The Right Choice for a Bright Future
In 1964, Pharmacy education began in Bangladesh with the establishment of the Department of Pharmacy at the University of Dhaka. The Nobel Prize in Physiology or Medicine is awarded annually at the Karolinska Institute, in Sweden, to doctors and scientists from various fields of medicine. Since 1901, the Nobel Prize has been awarded in the fields of physics, chemistry, physiology or medicine, literature and peace, and for economic science it was added in 1968.
The first person to claim the Nobel Prize in Physiology or Medicine was Emil Adolf von Behring in 1901. Emil Adolf von Behring was a German physiologist who is known for his discovery of diphtheria antitoxin, for which he was awarded the Nobel Prize. This bacterium produces toxins that damage tissue in the immediate area of infection - usually the nose and throat.
The following year, Behring collaborated with doctor Erich Wernicke and conducted experiments on guinea pigs. They also showed that other guinea pigs injected with the serum of immunized guinea pigs and then infected with the diphtheria bacteria did not become ill.
Emil Adolf von Behring - Saving a Generation from Diphtheria
Before the discovery of the serum theory, more than 50,000 German children died and many were affected. The experiment involved taking blood samples from a rabbit that. were immunized against the disease and then injected the serum into non-immune mice. When they transferred the blood from one animal to another, they first removed the clotting agents from the blood and then injected it.
Emil Adolf von Behring received the noble prize for this discovery of the serum theory. He is alleged to have defrauded Paul Ehrlich of recognition and financial reward in connection with joint diphtheria research. A chemical company preparing to commercially manufacture and market a diphtheria serum offered the two a contract, but von Behring maneuvered to claim all the substantial financial rewards for himself.
To add insult to injury, only Behring received the first Nobel Prize in Medicine in 1901 for his contributions. However, Ehrlich would go on to win the Nobel Prize in Medicine in 1908 for his contribution to immunology.
Gastritis
Everything you need to know
He may take a small sample or biopsy of the lining of the stomach if he finds anything unusual during the examination. By lowering the amount of acid released into the digestive tract, these medications relieve the pain of gastritis and allow your stomach lining to heal. The potential for growth of the pharmacy profession is enormous if we are prepared to upgrade our standards to international and global expectations.
While it is widely believed that the current pharmaceutical education framework in Bangladesh is producing enough pharmacy graduates to meet the current industry demand in the country, in many ways the capacity building of pharmacists has proven to be outdated and sometimes unqualified. It is necessary to design a system so that each student will be given the opportunity to think freely and develop his abilities to the maximum. Most of our students lack the initial encouragement that should be given by teachers or experts in the relevant fields.
As far as the educational aspect is concerned, a lot of emphasis should be placed on practical industry exposure. Clinical and practical training should be given more importance and included in the curriculum.
Pharmacy Education in Bangladesh: Strategies for
Everyone who is part of an institution must be aware of the task assigned to him and committed to doing the job in a perfect manner. The vision and mission of the institution must speak of quality as the ultimate goal. Periodic analysis of the diagram should be carried out by the teacher in the presence of the student, discussions should be held and suggestions for improvement should be made.
Seminars should be made mandatory from the graduation level and should be a criterion for the evaluation of the students. The center should utilize the services of some eminent persons in this field and the faculty and senior students of the institution should also be involved in the functioning of the counseling center. Marketing: The executive of the specific country must formulate the strategies to build the brands.
Therefore, a large part of the responsibility of the head of state is to make products available in the market and to ensure revenue. In short, the CEO in international business is the person who directs the driving wheel of the business of the company in the respective country.
Soaring the Skies: Inner workings of an International Marketer in
Now the leading manufacturers are shifting their focus from the local market to international business in terms of their investment plans. As a result, recruitment in the international business department has increased in recent years, providing graduates with lucrative opportunities to build a valuable career. The work of a country manager in the department of international business is probably more multifaceted compared to the work in other departments.
Regulatory: A manager must submit the product-related documents to the Ministry of Health in the exporting country. They should set up strategies to develop and strengthen the inert-personal relationship with customers. Furthermore, a manager must work to build a bond with field colleagues through training.
This is the basic task of a country manager or a country executive of the international business department. He or she must take full responsibility for the country's performance and bring together all concerned departments to complete each task.
