Position Purpose:
The Department of Computer Science & Engineering is seeking Lecturers to join a highly motivated team of teaching and research staff. You will have a Bachelor Degree in Computer Science
& Engineering or in a relevant discipline from a reputed university to apply for this post.
We have particular interest in recruiting people who are experienced in national and international level programming and/or robotics competitions. People with research experience and publications will be given priority. Applicants with industry background specially development of mobile application in IOS environment will be given priority.
Key Selection Criterion
Essential Qualifications, Knowledge and Skills
1. Master’s Degree in Computer Science & Engineering or relevant field from a reputed foreign university
2. Capacity to communicate in English to prepare, deliver and assess teaching materials.
3. Capacity to inspire and motivate others
Desirable Knowledge and Skills
1. Experience of participating in national and international programming and/or robotics contests.
2. Experience of conducting research and publishing output of research work in reputed Conferences and Journals.
3. Expertise in at least one of the following areas: Robotics, Python, Java, Android, Objective-C

Engineering in particular has an ambitious research plan. Moreover, we are committed to our students for an excellent job placement after they have acquired a degree from the department. Besides the BSc and MSc programs the department offers following Minor (Specializations) programs to students of the department and other schools of IUB. This is the only university in Bangladesh that has such faculty strength to offer such programs.

The department has 13 faculty members, 3 research stuff, a lab technician and a dedicated office secretary to support our academic and research activity. Current student number of the department is 650.
The Department is very active and publishes more than 20 research articles each year. There are two research centers under the department.

Teaching and Learning
• Minimum 36 credit / year is the required for this post
• Prepare and deliver high-quality lectures, tutorials, practical classes, demonstrations, workshops and studio sessions in courses taught by the CSE department for undergraduate level students
• Perform high-quality subject coordination, marking and assessment, and consultation with students
• Contribute to student academic counselling and pastoral care of students
• Supervise Bachelor level research projects (498 or 499)
• Conduct training and tutorial support to programming and robotics contest participating students
Research
• Conduct high-quality and high-impact research by joining active research teams at the CSE department
• Publish papers in high-quality, high-impact peer-reviewed conferences and journals
• Provide co-supervision to senior project students
Internal Services
• Undertake a range of administrative functions assigned by the department.
• Orientation, Graduation and Alumni programs
• Student Advising
• Organization and mentoring of internal programming and robotics contests
• Organize and support departmental club activity
