Mr. Saifur Rahman
Mr. Saifur Rahman is the elected Chairman of Education, Science, Technology and Cultural Development Trust (ESTCDT), the founding Trust of the Independent University of Bangladesh (IUB). He has been a founder Trustee of ESTCDT since its inception. He is actively involved in various socio-cultural and philanthropic organizations in Bangladesh. Mr. Rahman is the former President of St. Joseph Old Boys Association.
Mr. Saifur Rahman is a Director of Transcom Group, one of the largest conglomerates in Bangladesh, involved in Tea Plantations, pharmaceuticals (SK+F), electronics (Philips, Whirlpool, Transtec), light bulbs (Philips), soft drinks (Pepsi), restaurants (Pizza Hut & KFC), distribution of consumer products. Transcom is a major media house in Bangladesh that includes daily Prothom Alo, The Daily Star and ABC radio.
