This Project entitled “Project on Android Base Home Automation System”, submitted by Mosakim Islam ID to the Department of Computer Science and Engineering, Daffodil International University, has been accepted as satisfactory for the partial fulfillment of the requirements for the degree of B.Sc. . Deep knowledge and great interest of my supervisor in the field of "Android Base Home Automation System" to carry out this project. One of the aspects of this implementation allows learners to attend this paper. The non-specific design of Home Automation System (HAS) with little value and Radio remote control.

Home automation is an automation of home work or household activities. In other work, it provides the opportunity to use computer to check panel infections. For example, it includes centralized control of light infections. Nowadays, home automation is popular in the world because of its comfort and flexible means of monitoring and controlling infections and other issues depending on the user's comfort and needs. The popularity of home automation has increased significantly due to its significant capabilities and simplicity through Android phone and tablet connectivity.

Techniques used in home automation include those in building automation and control of home old activities, such as the lighting control system and the use of other electrical devices, can be connected through a home network to allow retention with a personal computer and can allow remote access. from the internet. Project forward home automation and security system design using aprotic PI, computer credit size. Smart Home systems are one of the modern areas of testing that are not yet fully integrated into our society.

Even in those situations, the home automation application makes it possible to control them from a remote location easily with our smartphone.

Home automation gives you access to control devices in your home from a mobile device anywhere in the world. The term can be used for isolated programmable devices, such as thermostats and sprinkler systems, but home automation more accurately describes homes where almost everything—lights, appliances, electrical outlets, heating and cooling systems—is connected to a remotely controllable network. Home automation is a step towards what is referred to as the "Internet of Things", where everything has an assigned IP address and can be monitored and accessed remotely.

However, electrical systems and even individual points, such as light switches and electrical outlets, have also been integrated into home automation networks, and businesses have even explored the potential of IP-based inventory tracking. It can also include non-scheduled events, such as turning on all the lights in your home when your security system alarm is activated. Once you begin to understand the possibilities of home automation scheduling, you can come up with any number of useful and creative solutions to make your life better.

Program your home automation system to unlock the front door for them and unlock it again when they're done. With the right home automation system, you can use any internet-connected device to view and control the system itself and any connected devices. You can also be notified of more mundane events, such as programming your "smart" front door lock to notify you when your child returns home from school.

A lot of effort has gone into developing home automation to control it remotely. This paper provides a comparative study of different types of home automation systems. We have gone through various techniques to implement a smart home such as; telephone remote control for home and office automation, PC remote control.

Home automation devices usually do not solve any problems by themselves because most of them are usually single purpose devices. However, when it comes to a home automation system that connects different devices and processes the data from each, it's a different story. A basic home automation effectively solves many simple problems, from easily saving energy, to removing the possibility of being locked out by losing a physical key, from checking if you've locked your door or turned that device off after you actually left, to informing you about the pedestrians on your porch when you are not at home, - you name it.

Challenges 11-12

  • From business field, I'd say 14

Get an industry report that will help you gain clarity about their business environment and enable them to undertake strategic growth initiatives. The global home automation market is expected to reach USD 39.88 billion by 2024, driven by the growing consumer need for fire and burglary protection. Availability of automated systems that can be operated over high-speed Wi-Fi, ubiquitous powerful smartphones, and increasing popularity of Internet-connected devices are expected to drive market growth.

Furthermore, reduced energy consumption and availability of a wide range of products are expected to boost the home automation market. Target a customer: Today, Smart Homes are not only for the top earners in the country. As an equipment to work that is not too complex, because on your instruction curve you can screw up your customers and it will not be good for your company's image.

And keep all data in a safe place for long-term use. Such as a technology that shows your difference to the end consumer, but is also good for you to save time in performing remote maintenance and so on. Choose technologies that are already on the market, but not those that are already saturated, because if they are, all your competitors will be working with the same thing as you.

This section of the report explains what we need to do and how we need to do it. We will follow an incrementally improved model for the completion of this project, which is briefly discussed below.

Incremental development model 14-16

On the hardware side of the project, there is limited flexibility in design and implementation. We cannot continue to manufacture and redesign finished products based on changes or errors, so we model the entire design conceptually in diagrams and in temporary breadboards that are easy to integrate and disassemble. We initially developed an application with basic capability to send Http requests to a local Apache server hosted on a PC.

Next, we uploaded and hosted the MySQL database on the Apache server on the Raspberry Pi. Next, the server script was coded on the Raspberry pi to react to changes made to the MySQL database. After that we integrated live streaming part in android app and also in Raspberry pi to capture and stream live video to YouTuber server.

This version facilitated the cloud database and both the android app and the Raspberry pi could communicate with each other over the internet. In our system, the user acts as the primary actor who can read the state of the devices either in the "ON" state. In addition, the user can change the state of the devices and control them as needed by sending status signals to the database and the raspberry pi can access the database and send control signals to the devices.

The user can also watch the live streaming video through the YouTube streaming server when needed.

An application is developed with the function of controlling home appliances and monitoring the live transmission of the website for monitoring purposes. The Raspberry pi is the central part of the whole system and largely works in the core of the processing and control system. Similarly, an Android phone is required to run the Android application and finally the power splitter connects the electrical devices to the electronic control logic of the system.

One end of the power strip is connected to the electronic logic part of the Raspberry Pi and the other end to the electrical household appliances. The receiver end consists of the RF receiver circuit which consists of a decoder to decode the encoded command signals received from the transmitter. Most hardware components are modules due to the integrated design and development adopted for the work.

This process involves designing the app layout to give the look and feel of the android app and the coding part that performs the actual task behind the scenes in the background. The end result of this project is a prototype for a simple home automation system that can control home AC appliances with a touch of a finger and is equally capable of live video monitoring of the site. Therefore, the idea to create a fully functional home automation system with ease to control and monitor devices has finally been realized.

By connecting various types of sensors, we can program the automatic control of the devices. Like for example, by using temperature sensors to record the current temperature of a room, we can control the automatic ON/OFF of the heater or fan. Currently, certain companies are officially registered and working to provide better home automation system features.
